“My Secret Garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My fiance and I happened upon this restaurant three years ago on our annual trip to Acapulco. It was tucked around a corner, just down from Disco Beach. It reminded me of a secret garden. The first year I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Mango sauce, it was delicious. My fiance ordered a Chicken and Pasta dish that he really enjoyed. The next year we made Conuco one of our destinations, since we had enjoyed it so much the previous year. On this visit I ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli with a Brown Butter Sage Sauce, it was amazing. When we visited this year we started with the Meatball appetizer, which was extremely good. I ordered my shrimps again, and they were as great as I had remembered. My fiance had the Sea Bass which he really enjoyed. Now a word about the Chef/Owner. Every year that we have returned to Conuco, Chef Louis remembers us. He always makes us feel like so special, and truly appreciates our repeat patronage. He cooks everything fresh to order, with care, love and finesse. We look forward every year to returning to Conuco for its wonderful food, atmosphere, and service!!

“Good food but needs to be cleaned”

Visited last evening and found the food to be very good and the sauces to be excellent and the price was reasonable.
This establishment would receive a much higher rating if only then cleaned the place up, it was dirty.

I have eaten all over the world and the food here was excellent. The alfredo was wonderfully,
rich, creamy and I wish I had the recipe. The service was outstanding and the amount of
food we received we couldn't possible eat the entire amount. We loved the atmosphere and would recommend it to anybody who goes to Acapulco.

“Not to be missed!”

Visiting Conuco was the high point of my dining experiences on my recent 14 day vacation in Aca. A group of eight of us visited on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't busy and the owner came out to greet us. I inquired about the rib-eye and the owner said he would reccomend that night's special, an arachetta with four jumbo garlic shrimp served with a baked potato and veggies for 150 pesos. Five of us ordered it and it was delicious! The others in our party ordered Italian dishes and were satisfied with the quality and large portions. We also were treated to Tequila shots "on the house". All in all a very pleasant restaurant that I would highly reccomend!

“Consistently good food!”

We have been going to Conuco since it opened up two years ago and have never been disappointed. Conuco is a moderately priced, chef owned local restaurant which offers excellent Italian, Continental and Mexican dishes in a charming courtyard environment. This is not a fussy high broww frou frou place! It is a place to relax and have a good meal. Usually it is not crowded and to be honest it can be slow as everything is done to order! Conuco is one half block up from the Costera (main drag) by the Office Max Store. You can see their green sign from the corner. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
