I've never encountered bed bugs before, so I didn't know what was going on. My waist and ankles were bitten up pretty bad. After taking a hot shower, I called the front desk to have housekeeping clean the place. Don't bother asking for another room because I'm sure they're in all the rooms.
For whatever the reason, the hotel sometimes gives out complimentary beer to your door. Strange, I know. Anyway, I drank one just out of curiousity and ended up breaking out in hives. Unbelievable. Out of countless years of alcohol consumption, I've never had any reaction to it other than becoming drunk. Was Howard Johnson trying to get rid of me? It sure felt like it.
