Goodwill is a great hotel with large rooms and we really appreciated having a bathtub! What is cool is that we could borrow beach mats, snorkel gear, beach umbrellas and body boards at no extra cost. Beach towels are available for rent at the hotel desk. We paid 20 Baht per towel.

The beach is a bit of a walk away (+/- 10min), but there is plenty of shopping, street food and restaurants on the way.
The hotel staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do, but they did more than that - they also booked trips and ferry tickets for us and made dinner reservations, all of which included pickup from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in Ao Nang more than in Phuket, so if you're in doubt, go to Ao Nang! (If you want a more relaxed beach experience)

I am going to check out in one hour. This hotel is 15 min walking to the beach. The rooms are spacious, but they seems quite old. Breakfast is OK. The staff is extremely helpful. The rooms weren't dirty, but could have been cleaner. Briefly, it's an average hotel for me.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews on tripadvisor. We did expect clean hotel with simple rooms. However when we checked into our room we found a lot of mould on the walls behind our bed. Please see photos attached. We told the staff and they asked us what we want to do. We asked for a new room and also to treat the mould as it can be dangerous to human health. We got a new room which was better regarding the mould. However, they didn't do anything with our original room and rented it to some other people.
The other issue we had was with hot water. It needed to be repaired three times during our four night stay. Also the towels provided got holes in them.
Location of this hotel was good, the staff friendly with limited English. I would not stay in this hotel again as you can get a better place for a similar price.

I booked for one week but stayed a whole month in Ao Nang Goodwill because of the atmosphere, the lovely staff, the clean and comfortable room. After experiencing Goodwill I don't need other alternatives. I loved it totally!
