Stayed for two nights in December 2011 as a couple to celebrate the wife's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time. We went a little mad and booked the honeymoon suite which was very spacious, with a surprise bouquet of flowers courtesy of the staff! The setting is absolutely lovely; the grounds out the rear of the hotel are perfect for walking off the indulgence from the previous evening.
There were two main highlights of the stay:
1) The food! We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and have to say both meals were exceptional. We have eaten at Branston Hall a number of times but these were the best meals we've ever had there. In fact, better than a lot of top restaurants I've been to.
2) The staff. Everyone was extremely attentive and friendly. Little things like being welcomed to breakfast in the morning by your actual name! We also had a good chat with the General Manager who despite the fact was obviously busy, took time to sit with us and listen to our feedback. He was extremely passionate about ensuring guests felt special and it showed.
Would love to go back there again and sit in front of the log fire sipping drinks!
