Vanni's advice and attention to detail is impeccable saving us valuable time and money when exploring the venice region. Our room was exquisite and clean and the accommodation was close to all the necessities such as shops, restaurants and public transport. Vanni's hospitality was incredibly warm and welcoming and his breakfasts were varied and delicious. Vanni spoke wonderful English and was a delight to be in his company. I stayed at La Foresteria for two nights with my wife and our baby. The rooms were clean and well equiped with an adjacent kitchen. Coffe & tee were available for our free (the katlle had to be de-scaled a long time ago but it is the only "bad" thing I can say about the room quality). The room was on the 2nd floor (no elevator but we didn't mind).
Vanni, the place owner, is a great host. He provided us with a nutritious and delicious breakfast (in his house!) and afterwards we got a realy good explenation about Venice and how to trevel it wisely (what tickets to buy and which lines to take). Vanni gives you the feeling that he'll do anything to make you happy with your stay and I know from my friends that he goes far beyond the expected. For example, he provided us with a baby bath (we didn't ask for it of course) just because he knew we are coming with a baby.
La Foresteria is located 3 minutes walk from the main station of Spinea, which has a direct bus to Venice (25 minutes). This makes La Foresteria the perfect place to stay if you want to see Venice but sleep outside of it.

From the moment that we booked our stay at La Foresteria, Vanni was the perfect host. He was always friendly, available to help us and provided exceptional service. Although the B&B is a 20 minute bus ride from Venice it is located in a nice quiet town with a choice of restaurants and shops.Vanni recommended a great Ice cream parlour called the Blue Penguin which our boys loved.
The B&B is clean and tidy offering good sized accommodation and we had the use of a fridge plus the possibility to make tea and coffee. Vanni provided a substantial breakfast and cooked us fresh omelette each morning.
Vanni helped us to plan our trip to Venice and gave us a map and advice about what to visit. On the day of our planned visit there was a 3 hour bus strike but Vanni ensured that we bought the correct tickets and managed to get a bus before the strike started. He had even offered to drive us to the next town to get a train if we missed the last bus, which fortunately was not needed.
In summary, we had 2 great nights at the La Foresteria not only because of the accommodation but also because of the fantastic service from Vanni. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be just outside of Venice.

We were 2 couples travelling in Italy. We stayed at the foresteria for 2 nights. The service we got from Vanni, the owner of the place, was remarkable. Vanni gave us a very datailed and useful information about visiting Venice. This info turned out to be very helpful and we got to know Venice much better thanks to it.
Location - La Foresteria is located a 20 minutes drive by bus from the Central station in Venice. The bus stop is 2 minutes walk from the place so there's very little chance to get mixed up.
Vanni made a remarkable impression on us with his excellent hospitality and assistance. The breakfast Vanni prepared for us was the best breakfast we got to eat in Italy. The rooms are very big and comfortable, there's a private kitchen and room for children.
When we got back home, we got an e-mail from Vanni notifying us that we had forgotten a jacket at his place. Vanni sent us the jacket back on his expense - not something very trivial. For this and much more we are very grateful and we recommend this place to everyone. Believe us - you wouldn't regret!!!!!!
