I love the crystal clear water. The fishing and diving is the best that I have experienced anywhere in the world. Check out the Sapona which is a sunken ship.
The place to stay is Bimini Sands on South Bimini. No traffic and not many people. We had the beach to ourselves.
my first trip to bimini was in my bonanza to look at some land for sale on buckneer point...i bought it...it has a deep water canal in back and a road 3 miles to the airport 5000 feet....across the road and down from bimini sans...i love bimini the fishing is great and suba bimini is just up the canal...i want to find a partner to help build a dock and small villa....met some treasure hunters while there, it is not the us, kinda like the old west might have been... i feel safe there and there is a great vibe......the people i have met have been really nice.....berniefaulkner441@yahoo.com
I have been traveling to Bimini since 1971 when there was one car on the island. It is a different scene every year and if you have to apply American standards to Bimini, don't go. If you like seclusion and island beauty without hustle, this is the place. I have many friends in Bimini and you couldn't know more interesting people. Stay at the "Angler" or rent the Marlin cottage next door. You can buy fresh fish and lobsters. Just ask Badevil or Shorty at the Angler. Take it to the Anchorage and they will cook it for you for a price. It takes some cleverness and discipline to travel well and enjoy leisure time in Bimini or anywhere for that matter. If you understand, try Bimini.

Having visited Bimini in June of this year and swam with the dolphins, sampled island life and generally had a wonderful experience I had the opportunity to take another week in September....naturally I grasped it with both hands.......from the great journey by Chalks Sea Plane to the friendliness of the islanders.....the beautiful beaches and the stunning colours of the ocean, this was an experience I want to repeat again and again.....the dolphin encounters were awesome and made me feel very honoured that these magnificent creatures welcomed me into their domain and spent time playing and swimming with me....what more could anyone wish for? Try it....you won't be disappointed
