“Pleasantly surprised!”

Stayed here for a week long conference and must say the room was more than adequate in comfort and amenities. Yes, the decor may be bit dated; bathroom shower/tub a bit small; but overall, not deal breakers at all. Staff was friendly -- in the restaurants and the bar. The Tiki Restaurant was in all respect a Chinese restaurant. Hotel is within walking distance to small strip mall where there are places to eat, pharmacy, grocery shop, bank and souvenir shop. From what I can see, the surrounding is definitely better than "downtown".

“OVERPRICED HOTEL”

This hotel is overpriced yet comfortable. Management needs to make a few changes to the room to update such as headboard and lamp shades which are outdated.Do not eat at the first floor Bois Cano.Eat at Tiki Village. Supervisor did not want to fix our meal which was horrible. We refused to pay for it. Very unfair service. Hotel has complimentary breakfast and internet and self service laundry room.

“Great Service”

My husband and I stayed at Kapok for Old Years night. We had a small problem at check in but it was sorted out with an upgrade to a Superior room, which we really appreciated! The room was modern, updated and clean! Our room had a nice balcony as well!

All staff at the hotel was welcoming and very helpful! Breakfast was good, lots of fruit, which I love!

We didnt use the pool or gym but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kapok! We will be back because of the great rates!

“Beautiful small hotel”

We stayed in Port of Spain with a group of friends. We had a wonderful experience at the Kapok Hotel. Beautiful rooms with shared balconies. The rooms were wonderful and the restaurant the hotel was great. We had a private room at dinner. Enjoyed our time completely.

Room Tip: We were overlooking a beautiful garden and saw tons of wild parrots.

I wouldsay this is anice hotel for the price. Hotel staff is very kind, very nice resturant & Bar with a nice pool and plants. Very close to down town and a nice little shopping center.
