“Well rested”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

my husband and i spent the long weekend 29th July to 1st August, the stay was the most relaxing and restful one we have ever had.
The breakfast was out of this world and dont talk about the dinner of callaloo and baked chicken.
It is a very nice place to catch up on some well deserved rest.
A heartfelt thank you to the always accommodating host.

“Charm, Comfort and Culture Off the Beaten Path”

My wife and I just returned from a week at this B&B in a town about half way between Port of Spain and Piarco International Airport. The house is lovely and has a nice-size pool in the back yard. It is set in a residential neighborhood and although there is little of interest within walking distance, we managed to find all the activity we needed via taxi or by just hanging out on the balcony or poolside.

This was our first trip to T&T and although Tobago is definitely the more touristy place, Trinidad has plenty to offer as well. We enjoyed day trips to Port of Spain, the Asa Wright Nature Center and Tobago (via the airbridge). If you are comfortable with left-side driving, you could rent a car and make yourselves more mobile. Given the narrow, winding roads, we decided early on to let others do the driving.

The best part of the inn is the host couple -- Joe and Grace. They are easygoing, hospitable and understand the right mix between meeting your needs and staying out of the way. And Grace is a superb cook! We'd recommending eating meals at home ($30 for the two of us) whenever it is convenient. Though they are natives of the island, Joe and Grace spent more than 3 decades stateside, so they are very familiar with US customs and culture.

If you are looking to stay on Trinidad as a couple, family (at least 6 rooms) or even for a business meeting, you can't go wrong staying at CrossWinds.

Room Tip: Only one king bed

“Like Coming Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2011

It was like going home to your aunt and uncle's house. Mr. and Mrs. Lendor (Uncle Joe and Aunty Grace) welcomed us with open arms and saw to our every need; from airport pick up, airport drop off and transportation wherever we needed to go, to delicious home cooked meals that both excited and satisfied even the diabetic in our party. The staff was so exceptional, we could not thank our drivers and "tour guides" Sam and Joe enough, we've decided to adopt them as members of our family, not only are they highly entertaining they are quite skilled drivers that know every back road to anywhere and maneuver the narrow roads with an amazing amount of skill, thanks guys. Of course we cannot forget Cindy; we wanted her to come home with us, thank you for the most delicious "trini" food, we enjoyed every morsel. Oh and I almost forget Austin; the story teller, thanks for reminding me of everything I love about "limin" in Trinidad. From the Smart Family to the CrossWinds Villa staff, thank you so very much for everything, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back God willing. Many blessings and Much love.

“Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2011

My husband & I stayed at the Villa in February 2011. I was celebrating an early birthday and we were looking for a bed & breakfast in our home island. We found the perfect place at CrossWinds Villa. Joe & Grace are excellent hosts and Cindy the best cook ever!!!! On arrival, I told them we were interested in local breakfast ONLY - we could not have asked for more - from fried bake and buljol to coconut bake and fried fish, pawpaw & watermelon too:-))) Superb!!! They even catered for a party/gathering for some of my friends and family to celebrate my birthday - again the food was to die for - good ole trini cooking and the ambience - poolside, parrots and crotons - what else can you ask for:-))) CrossWinds Villa is our new home away from home - we can't wait to go back - Thanks Joe & Grace, thanks for everything - our love & prayers Eric & Judy

“Great Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2011

What a fantastic guesthouse. Clean large rooms all the amenities mentioned on the site are available. Breakfast was always on time, simple but very satisfying. Tucked away nicely in Santa Cruz you will not find a better place to kick back and enjoy. The owners are friendly and casual, puts you at ease immediately. A must getaway even if you are from Trinidad and just want to get away from the hustle and bustle, like I wanted too, you will never forget the stay. Thanks Crosswinds: Nigel.
