From the first step into the open plan lobby with its panoramic view to the comfortable room this little hotel has a feeling of home. The buffet breakfast deserves mention both in terms of daily variety and on time service. Hats off to kitchen staff who must start very early everyday to serve their mainly business clientele promptly at 6am. A little more variety of local fruits would make the day just perfect. The room was clean and quiet, with a handy fridge and microwave, and tranquil sea vistas to help unwind after driving all day on the busy Trinidad roads.
Courteous staff were always helpful with a ready smile, and the small details such as fresh apples everyday in the lobby for a healthy snack were much appreciated. Cara Suites is definitely a place to go back to, it didn't disappoint!
The only downside was the open walkway and the acrid smell where smokers congregated, and guests had to navigate past to get back to their rooms. Send the smokers out to the carpark.
