“Harmony suites , great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2010

I am writing this review from my balcony at harmony suites , I was surprised at the last review , but then I wouldn't class this as honeymoon type resort , its can't be compared to a luxury allinclusive resort but then if you have read the reviews you should know what you are getting , we have a waterfront suite , the suite is a good size and it is a bit dated but its ample for the independant traveller , the location is ideal , short walk to beach and there are plenty of very good restaurants around , the comment on the room being very cold made me chuckle ........the air con is very efficient !!! All in all I am very pleased with the accomodation , we paid half of what it would have cost to stay in the cheapest AI and it has exceeded my expectations ......I think some people have unrealistic expectations .....oh an. Wi fi free too

“Don't stay at Harmony Suites”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2009

This was our honeymoon destination for which we had paid a supplement for a " luxury " waterfront suite. What we got was a dingy, smelly, dated room which was icy cold and uninviting when we arrived tired and fatigued after having travelled for over12 hours.

The entrance was down a dingy corridor and through a rotten front door. When we entered the room the damp, musty smell was horrible. When we explored our wonderful honeymoon destination we decided that there was no way were unpacking one stitch of clothing, and that one night was more than sufficient at Harmony Suites.

The wardrobes were fronted by grimy looking louvered doors and the safe wasn't! There was a bidet in an open corridor space, the shower was antequated and dark and the frame to the toilet door was rotten. Their idea of a Welcome Pack was 2 soaps in a dish and a couple of tea bags in a caddy

Ironically the view across Rodney Bay and from The Edge restaurant were delightful, although we were so tired and disolutioned that we couldn't enjoy any of its culinary or visible delights.

All we can say is............don't stay at harmony suites - it's horrible!! KNOCK IT DOWN AND START AGAIN!!

“relaxing little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2009

stayed in waterfront villa, lovely quiet location on marina, 5 min walk to quiet beach, except when cruise ships visit then beach is busy.Lovely restaurant on beach which does beautiful food all day, plenty of other restaurants in walking distance, try the chinese..best chicken satay ever.Would give indian and Fire Grill a wide berth as very expensive unlike others who do very good food at better prices, piece of chicken on its own in Fire Grill £12.50, that said it was a lovely meal, Red Snapper does good meals and then go to The Jungle bar downstairs for great live music......Amazing.Would reccommend St Lucia for a relaxing holiday

“Peaceful, Perfect Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2009

We stayed in a premier Suite with kitchette, separate bedroom etc. This place is more apartment style than hotel. The bed was huge and very comfortable. All very clean if a little dated, but excellant value for money.( three times the size of an average hotel room) The lower rooms we found a little dark for our liking but were soon moved upstairs on request. The gardens are wonderful very exotic making this a real gem. The biggest beneifit is the location. A 2 minute walk to the beach and resturants and 8 mins to supermarket, banks, duty free shops, fast foods etc. We felt very safe in the area and found everyone helpful and friendly. Not for anyone looking for a place with full hotel facilities more the indepentant traveller who just wants an apartment. We were pleased to see prices for most things, eating out etc similar to UK.

“Harmony Suites was a restful, personal and immaculate hotel; great for a quiet getaway.”

We had a great holiday. We enjoyed the "mom and pop" feeling; a home away from home. Harmony Suites was very quiet; only 1-2 people at the pool at any time. (We were at the end of the season). Our room was on the lower floor; just outside the pool. The pool is the size of a North American inground pool and was clean and fairly warm. The air conditioning in the bedroom worked well and there is just a quiet lane behind the rooms. The gardens are beautiful; even a small "garden" of orchids! Enjoyed reading on the hammock, while looking out at the marina. Very clean and a nice size; liked the kitchenette too. Had perfect weather; only 2 tiny showers. The staff are all friendly, most helpful and easy to talk to. The maid even did our dishes! Loved walking only 200 yards to a beautiful beach, and being 5 mins. from several good restaurants.
