“Relaxed and not Spoilt retained St Lucian Charm that All inclusive resorts lack”

It was lovely, relaxed and charming - not like a big resort
All staff very very helpful. Checked in to our Superior water front suite, 1st floor one, with balcony looking out on the Rodney bay inlet of the marina, at the lovely boats, houses and hills with pretty houses all diff colours. Spacious suite, sep toilet, big shower, wardrobe room and b day, sink and dressing area, lounge area, sette, chairs, other dressing area, sink and little cooking area, patio doors to balcony with lay out chairs, inside step up to a 4 poster bed etc... so spacious. decor OK, all OK, very very clean and looked like sheets changed daily, not sure. also a jacuzzi in room !!!!! 2 mins from reduit beach which was lovely with view of Pigeion island, load of boats and activity in the bay - loved it, charming, only critisism was no bar/ rest as the Edge shut in Sept and we were not aware. But lots more to choose from. Just could not go and sit and have a chilled drink looking at the water when coming in or going out. Highly recommend.

My Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
was much cheaper than other mainly all inclusive. . allowed to hired jeep and explore the beaches, hired a Rastaman, with little boat Marigina - near coffee shop on reduit beach road. dropped us off on pigeon isl and picked us back up when we asked. Do your own thing holiday. sit on your balcony, go out and about, not feeling committed to staying in resort to eat the inclusive grub cos you have to have to Are on tripa sweetpeatraveluk and will write review.

  • Liked — Just not spoilt, with lovely gardens and views of the bay - staff really helpful
  • Disliked — The Edge Rest not open as being refurbished and therefore no where to go for last drink of evening 2 steps from your hotel

“Great Location”

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Harmony Suites, Rodney Bay which was our first visit to the Caribbean.

The hotel is ideally sutuated being just set back from Reduit Beach but just a short walk from restaurants and the main supermarket.

All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and the receptionist was very helpful in telephoning our rep when we had a few problems to resolve (nothing to do with the hotel).

We had a very roomy waterfront suite which was kept extremely clean by the maid. The decor in our room was a bit tired and the ceiling could have done with a lick of paint. The kitchen equipment was a bit limited with the fridge being only of the mini type but other than that we were very pleased with it.

As it was low season the hotel was not very full so for most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The hotel complex is quite small (which is what we wanted) and is surrounded by well kept gardens. The main bonus is that the waterfront suites have their own decking area which lead straight out onto the Marina.

There is a mini supermarket on site which had all the essentials at reasonable prices.

We loved St Lucia albeit we had quite a lot of rain (it is the rainy season so we could not complain) but the upside being it is beautiful, varied and very green. The local beach was lovely and sandy and like at the hotel the people of St Lucia are very polite and friendly.

The roads are "interesting" and personally we would not recommend hiring a car.

We went to most of the restaurants and our recommendation would be Buzz which we went to several times. If you want a restaurant on the beach which is good value we would recommend The Spinnaker.

Having just returned from a two week stay at The Harmony Suites I can only say what an excellent time we had. The Harmony Suites were in a brilliant location and our room (Waterfront Suite) was superb. The room was spacious, clean and was everything that we expected. I was a little dubious on arrival as I had read some poor reports on this site about these suites but was delighted when we were shown to our room and I could see that the reports I had read bore no resemblance to the suite that we were allocated. The Harmony had very guests during our stay (low season) and I enjoyed the pool all to myself for an entire fortnight pure relaxation, just what the doctor ordered. The suites are ideally located with all local bars/resturants and the beach just 2 minutes away. My partner went diving with Frogs (the dive shop located at Harmony) and had a brilliant time, he also tried the Zip lining experience whilst I just chilled. We had a fabulous time and we will definately be returning. Thanks to all at Harmony for a wonderful stay.

“aptly named ' Harmony'”

After coming to St.Lucia for 14 years now,I am amazed at the changes going on with the growing tourism industry. It seems that all the new hotels are all very high end ,and so I found it very refreshing to still find small gems like Harmony Suites.
Where it isn't a fancy upscale hotel,it is clean and cozy and quiet.
Good beds, nice sheets and soft white comforter.
Right in the center of all the best restaurants(one being right there on the water at the hotel. The Edgewater.Fabulous spot, excellent food and atmosphere.(great Brandy Alexanders!)
At least i feel like I am on a Caribbean island..instead of a cookie-cutter resort where I can be anywhere, as they all look and feel the same.
Harmony is perfectly named.
You feel calm as soon as you arrive.
All people in the Hospitality industry should take a lesson from Liz who works the front desk.
She greets you with a gorgeous smile, and a helpful attitude.
I REALLY enjoyed my stay.

“Harmony Reigns in Harmony Suites”

We LOVED our stay at Harmony Suites!!! It was our first time to St. Lucia, and we didn't know what to expect from St. Lucia or from Harmony Suites. Both exceeded our expectations! St. Lucia is stunningly beautiful, friendly, safe, clean, etc. and etc.
We booked Harmony Suites through Expedia.ca, somewhat skeptical that it was too good to be true, given the prices.
When we arrived at the front desk, we were greeted by the exceptionally professional and friendly Esther. We had booked and prepaid for a Luxury Waterfront Suite, but Esther explained to us that all these suites had already been booked when Expedia had taken our reservation - that there was a time lag between their communications. She apologized sincerely, on behalf of the hotel, and promised to try to do whatever it would take to make us happy. We really appreciated her helpful attitude. She offered us several options, all of which were quite generous. We agreed to stay in a Premium Suite (next grade down) and the hotel offered us 1 dinner for 2 and 4 breakfasts for 2 at the Edge, their onsite restaurant. WHAT A DEAL!! The Edge is superb!!! To think that otherwise we may not have eaten there! Our dinner was memorable, for the food, the service and the waterfront setting. Esther managed to get us a table for 2 that same evening, although the restaurant is so popular that you can't expect to have dinner there without a reservation! The breakfasts were excellent as well. It was great to have a relaxing, delicious breakfast, served waterside and by very friendly staff, each morning before we set off for the day. We did not need to eat lunch after the full Edge breakfasts.
All the staff at Harmony Suites and at the Edge were professional and friendly. Any time we asked a question at the front desk, it turned into a lengthy chat, and I remember that we were always laughing. The staff there seem so happy they are always on the verge of laughter.
The facility itself is comfortable. Staying there is extremely pleasant and excellent value for money. The premium suite had all the basic comforts, and a basic kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. Everything worked well and was very clean.
The pool is smallish, but given the size of the hotel, it was never busy, and lounge chairs were always available.
Best of all: The day we were leaving, Esther offered to keep our camcorder behind the front desk for us until we left for the airport. We got in our taxi with our suitcases, forgetting completely to retrieve our camcorder! (Our fault completely!) We only remembered when we arrived at the front of a long line to check in with US Airways at Hewanorra Int'l Airport (70 kms away!) We asked the US Airways rep what we should do and she said we should have it taxied to the airport. (mistake.) We did, at the cost of $70 US. But the plane left before the camcorder arrived, so we thought we would never see it again. But Esther followed up with us by email, and when she found out we had not gotten our camcorder, she took charge and tracked it down, investing a fair amount of her time to do this. We could scarcely believe it when we actually received our camcorder back in Vancouver, Canada! We have NEVER experienced that level of caring from a hotel and its staff!! Thanks Esther!!
Harmony Suites is short walk to a Reduit Beach, a great beach. We enjoyed the walk from the hotel to the beach and the strip of restaurants along the way. Our favourite restaurant on the strip was Buzz Seafood and Grill. Make sure you have a reservation, any night of the week. Look out for Lucy, the resident cat :)
We also highly recommend the onsite Cost Less car rental and internet cafe. Very friendly and helpful people.
Ok, just in case you think we are overly effusive people, we were not blown away by the Friday night fish party at Gros Islet. The whole thing seemed a little contrived.
But we would recommend Harmony Suites, The Edge, Buzz and Cost Less car rental to all. No hesitation. And we WILL be back :) :)
