“Can't say enough good things :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sea Grape for two weeks mid November 2011 and we absolutely LOVED it. Margo was fantastic in arranging the booking, even arranging the taxi from the airport and for our first fabulous dinner by Juicey. The villa was amazing, the view stunning, our own private sunbathing and sea area were gorgeous. Each night we sat watching the sunset from our comfy chairs. Each morning I took my fresh coffee down to the cliffs and sat, feet dangling over the side, waving to Vincent as he went past on his glass bottom boat (recommended trip). Sea Grape made our holiday a pure paradise vacation. We had several dinners courtesy of Juicy on our verandha which were gorgeous. We had our two protectors (Rocky and Blackie who we miss!) around us. We did venture outside Sea Grape and had great jerk chicken in the local shacks, walked the local area and even went on a couple of longer distance expeditions (taxi sorted by Juicy). As fabulous as Jamaica is we actually felt you could happily spend two weeks at Sea Grape, never venturing out!!! We were really looked after, made very welcome and it is such a beautiful location, I don't think it can be beaten. We definitely hope to return someday and certainly encourage others to experience Sea Grape. I really can't sing their praises enough :)

“Why Did We Wait So Long?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Arriving at Wild Grape villa for the first time is an awesome experience! Turning off the main road, passing through the iron gate for a short drive to a parking area, we were led through a bower of tropical trees and flowers that opened up onto the expansive veranda, overlooking steps through lava rocks that wind down to a sunning area and further yet to a private cove. Beyond that lay only the deepest blue sea and the endless horizon. Turning, we watched in amazement as the staff unfolded the entire front wall of the villa so that it became one with the landscape before us!
The villa itself compliments the landscape and the Jamaican culture. Tastefully decorated, it is open, spacious, clean and comfortable with Jamaican artwork and fabrics throughout. Although there are three villas on the property, the tropical gardens and natural rock walls provide each with privacy and seclusion.
It is the harmony with the landscape and love of the culture with which it was obviously created that make Sea Grape so unique, giving it an almost spiritual aura, beyond its physical beauty. The staff was outstanding, obviously taking pride in the property and anxious to do whatever they could to make our stay a memorable one. In three visits, the only problem we ever encountered was a dead battery in one of the remotes, which was promptly replaced. They are hardworking but unobtrusive, taking care to announce their arrival by ringing the “door bell” which hangs along the pathway. You can interact with them as much, or as little, as you prefer; however, you are missing a wonderful opportunity if you don’t spend a little time getting to know them. They are delightful individuals, have a lovely sense of humor and became both friends and guardians during our stays.
With Juicy’s delicious cooking (Can’t wait for our next traditional Jamaican breakfast!) and your own kitchen, it can be tempting not to leave your private oasis as you unwind and settle into “Jamaican time”. However, you would be missing the true Jamaica if you didn’t venture beyond the front gate. We enjoyed walking to the nearby restaurants and shops as well as visiting the lovely couple who run the small store across the road – the Jamaican equivalent of the neighborhood Starbucks! We made many new friends along the way and the only threat that we ever encountered was US forgetting that they drive on the other side of the road! For longer trips downtown or to seven mile beach, Juicy or Bentley was always there to hail a taxi for us. In fact, Juicy was always watching over us, making sure we were safe and arranging anything from an outing to Mayfield falls, scuba diving or a massage right at the villa! He was also a great resource regarding local events, as when he made certain we stayed at the villa the night that Marcia Griffiths, one of Bob Marley’s original backup singers, performed on the outdoor stage at the hotel next door! Watching a legend perform as yet another lovely sunset lit up the sky is just one of our many priceless SeaGrape memories!
We have traveled to over 30 countries, and had many wonderful adventures, but it is only to Jamaica that we return and it is Seagrape that draws us back. . Each time we return, SeaGrape is even more beautiful than we remembered and we turn to each other and say “Why did we wait so long to come back?”

“A Timeless Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

The photos you'll see on the Sea Grape hardly do justice to this beautiful place!

Our spacious, high-ceilinged villa (where Bob Marley once stayed) was surrounded on three sides by dense, tropical bush, with the fourth side opening onto a breathtaking panorama of the ocean. There is nothing quite like walking out from the villa for an early-morning dip in the warm, clear water and then basking on your private lounge, ensconced in the rocks.

The food, prepared on premises by Juicy to your specifications, is as authentic and delicious as any you'll find on the entire island. Make sure to try the Escoveitch Fish!

For those who've stayed in Negril before, Sea Grape offers an utterly different, and in this visitor's opinion, far superior experience to anything you'll find on the beach. Away from the hustle and bustle, you'll enjoy a far more private, rustic, charming getaway that is nonetheless extremely comfortable and luxurious. For those who've never visited: don't delay---Jamaica and Sea Grape represent the Caribbean at its very best.

“Dreaming of my return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

This past December, my boyfriend and I stayed at Sea Grape for just under a week. I had been to Negril numerous times before but had never stayed at Sea Grape. We arrived just as the sun was setting over the clear horizon, and bid adieu to the cloudless day with two dolphins jumping in the middle of our picturesque view. From then on, it was a trip to remember, with plenty of privacy, perfect swimming and delicious home cooked Jamaican fare.
