Very rustic, simple little cottage. The best food on the strip in Negril. The year before we stayed at a resort. Payed five times as much and didn't have near as much fun. It's like staying with family. They also rent scooters, trail bikes, and cruisers. If your looking for the resort experience, this is NOT for you. If you want to see Jamaica, not a resort in Jamaica, this is for you. Next time I will stay closer to the back of the property. If you stay up front you will hear the "Jungle" (Local night spot) loud and clear till 4am. There are also roosters making a lot of noise around sun rise. After the first night I got used to both. Defiantly staying again, and would recommend it to any of my friends who would rather rough it a little for a great experience.

I am currrently at Jah B's in Negril and have had a wonderful week. Everyone is extremelly helpful and the food is excellent. The cottages are very comfortable and many have small color TV's, fans, dbl beds, & fridge. Will post pics later.

Me and my husband stayed for one night after stumbling across it whilst strolling along the boulevard. If you want 5* luxuries, this is not the place to stay, but it is clean, basic, and cheap, with an abundance of peace and quiet. Its about a 1 mile walk from the town centre which takes about 40 minutes if you stroll. The food is fantastic. Certainly don't get any diluted cuisine for a European palate here, more like very tasty and very hot (in temperature). We would have no qualms about staying here again. In fact any future visits to Negril will mean we head directly to Jah Bs. Ms Joyce is, along with her staff, a very nice person. There are mosquitos in the room - but this was resolved by burning the coils in the room throughout the whole time we rented the room. No evidence of bed bugs during our stay. We stayed in Mickey Mouse (Cabin No. 15). It is no palace. But all what you need if you just want basic.

my name is Tom and I am a 24 year old Englishmen.
Myself and my friend Andy stayed at Jah B's from the end of June 2007 to July 2008 and it was truly magnificent.
The price was top draw for a months stay somewhere so so close to the wonderful beach. The rooms are basic but, in my opinion, brilliant. If you want an unauthentic stay in a plush hotel room then go to a resort but you will not find Jamaica there.
Jah B's is much more than just a place to stay. Tim, the cook, is possibly one of the nicest chaps you will have the pleasure of meeting. Jah B and Ms. Joyce are wonderful people, and the cleaning staff (Rasta Charlie and others) are cracking if not a little incomprehensible at times.
Make sure that any stay at Jah B's is topped off by meeting the legendary Juba. I pray that god is still around. A 63 year old taxi driver that works out of a shack next to Jah B's took us around the island and back again. If he is still there, have a quick chat about cricket with him and he'll love you.
All in all Jah B's is a place I fell in love with, so much so that I am trying to book another month long stay in that little slice of heaven.
