My husband and I stayed in the Lilac Mist Villa in October 2011. We needed rest, peace, and quiet. It helped that it was off season, of course. We had an amazing time. Get the all-inclusive; it is much easier. The property is older, so don't expect brand new buildings. But our villa was impeccably clean when we arrived, and Marcia kept it that way. I knew we were going to have our own bartender. But Sasha made us drinks, delivered them to us wherever we were, made sure we were never hungry, and made sure we always had anything we wanted. I don't know how to describe our chef, Neil. We literally had a fine dining chef cooking for us for 3 meals a day. It was among the best food I have ever eaten, and he was our personal chef. No, I am not exaggerating. From red snapper in a white wine cream sauce to grilled lobster at dinner; fresh fruit and omelets at breakfast to jerk chicken in cocktail sauce or fresh tuna salad at lunch. Wow. This is the place to go if you want personalized service. They also have a sister property, Moon Dance Cliffs, which is about 15 minutes away which you can use. If you bought the all-inclusive at the villas, all your food and drinks here are free. The cliffs have a completely different view and no beach (it's cliffs) but it is beautiful and the ocean is much more blue. This property is only about 2-3 years old and is very nice and very pretty and clean. They have a swim-up bar and 2 outdoor restaurants. Very nice. At MD cliffs, myou can get a villa or a regular hotel room.
We will be returning to Moon Dance.
