If you are looking for a low cost room on the cliffs this is a good place. It is NOT a five star resort, i would rate it as a 3 star.

First of all, i booked online at bookings.com for 2 rooms, apparently they only got the request for one room and they were sold out! so the other couple we were with had no room for the night! but, they called their sister hotel, sunset on the beach and gave them a suite for the same rate that was in the original reservation, so they were happy, they got a free upgrade basically and it was just down the road. they were very sorry and did a good job fixing the situation.

The rooms...

Seems like they are renovating, the walls were freshly painted, the bed cover was new, new fluffy pillows, looks like the bathroom sink was new...some things were also old like the shower, but i am assuming they are renovating a few things at a time. Overall the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The tv only had 1 station available, not sure if i just didn't know how to use the remote, but i wasn't really interested in it anyway, so didn't try to fix it.

Also, I didnt go in the pool, but it was sparkling clean and a few people were swimming.

The food...
Free breakfast, it was very slow and small portions. I ordered a fruit plate and banana pancakes. the fruit plate had 3 little pieces of fruit and the pancakes were 3 silver dollar pancakes like a kids meal.

Dinner we didnt eat there, mostly walked out to the street and had food at the various places as well as pushcart down the road.

Overall
For the cost, it was fine. I knew what to expect so i was not disappointed it was not a 5 star resort. Its a good location and in general not too bad, I would stay there again.

i stayed at the sunset for along weekend in November this year had a fantastic time there was a Wedding one afternoon it was lovely to experience other peoples happine the beach is Beautiful the temperature very hot.the hotel is not as luxourios as the RIU which i have also stayed in netherthelessjust to be in Negril is a total passion for me and i have every intention of returning in March next year.

Checked into the hotel with the intention to stay for three days and two nights but ended up cutting my stay very short. The room wasn't cleaned properly and the bathroom did not have any towels or bathroom mat. The floor and walls were really wet and on the second day of our stay there was no light in the hotel and the owners did not have a generator as back up.

this is a nasty place. False advertisement and poor customer service. I wouldn't advice not even my enemy to stay there. They ruin my summer vacation. The pool was full of algae and the floor in the rooms were wet, they did not provide any towels for the guess and they do not have a generator for electricity outage.Over all its a ripp off. Please donot waste your money and stay at this crappy hotel.
