Just got back from Sunset on the Cliffs, and I did enjoy my stay of four nights. The rooms are comfortable but not fancy, all with great balconies, and my air conditioning worked good .... The beds were so so, and the shower was not hot enough and lacked pressure, so I tried to get used to it .... The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, and the free breakfasts were excellent. Good drinks, too. Attentive service but a bit understaffed ,,,, usually one guy that serves as waiter, bus boy and bartender. Tough job, got to respect the guy.
Some nights, I couldn't see any security at night. Though the one security guard i did meet, Gooden, did a good job. However, a fellow guest had his lap top and cash stolen on his last day, so do be careful ....
Also, on some nights it was noisy on surrounding properties, but other nights it was really quiet. That's just the way Negril is ....
And there is a great Chicken restaurant right across the street, DeBars. They're open late.
