Very quiet and relaxing resort with a friendly and responsive staff. Fresh and tasty food with rather average selection but diverse. Choice of local alcohol with a great service. We will recommend to everyone who appreciate relax and quality service. Lovely private and safe beach on the Bloody Bay with a small grill bar serving fantastic fish. Very limited free wi-fi access (in the lobby only) but with a drink in hand, quite adequate and relatively fast.

This resort was small and intimate. The rooms were unique and an experience in themselves. With the windows only having screens and slat blinds to close off, you were put to sleep each night by the tree frogs and birds in the tropical and lush vegetation that surrounded your room.
The food was average and the buffet rather the same. By day 6 we were looking for a change as there weren't any different options really for food. The 1 a la carte restaurant was good but the exact same menu each of the 4 nights we could go there. The beach grill was good but you got sick of jerk chicken, red snapper and burgers after a couple days.
The beach was not gated and we were kind of surprised at how much pot was offered our direction and smoked in our smelling range by those from the resort who were vacationing. It was offensive after a day of having to endure this. The vendors wanted to sell you their stuff but also draw you back into their tents to offer you drugs. They were fine if you said a firm no thanks but it wore on us after a bit.
Overall a B+ trip. I think I'd like a bit more variety in the food and a more closed off beach next time. The people though were very friendly and we really enjoyed getting to know those who served us during the week. This is what most people said as to why they keep coming back to Jamaica.

My wife and I spent a week here starting Jan. 23rd 2012 after reading all the positive reviews on this site, All the reviews are pretty accurate to our experience. We've both been to Jamaica before so we knew pretty well what to expect.

We were looking for a place to get a well deserved rest...and did we ever find it. With only about 85 rooms, it's a pretty intimate place. We asked the staff where all the people were as we thought they were holding the national hide and seek convention or something. :)

Check in was great...cold drink and a towel as they processed us.We grabbed a bite to eat and another drink as they readied our room.

Our room was fantastic. Nice and spacious...and pretty clean from what I could see. I never turned on the AC as it cooled down nicely at night...no windows, just screens and shutters. The only noise I heard at night were the tree frogs, and the odd car honk coming from over by the road. The shower was great with lots of hot water to go around. We always had an endless supply of clean towels.

The grounds are amazing, an awful lot of work must go in to keeping the place looking so good. Kudos to Shorty and his staff. Sitting on our private balcony each evening was like a little oasis of greenery.Never saw a scrap of litter anywhere!

Although it's across the road, the beach was marvellous. Bloody Bay is probably the nicest beach I've ever seen, with lots of nice soft white sand. We spent every day relaxing there from after breakfast til late afternoon. We never had a problem getting chairs in our preferred location...part shade til about one, then full sun the rest of the day. I think the SATP beach is the nicest of the lot....trees nearby for shade if desired. The washrooms were also very clean.

The beach bar drinks were nice and refreshing, and the red snapper and jerk chicken served at the beach grill were delicious. We gave Opal some maple syrup to show her our appreciation.

We never used the pool the whole time we were there. If there was any complaint to make, the pool looked a little tinged with green every day I looked at it. A little more chlorine and I might have jumped in...but we have a pool, and we came for the beach anyways.

We ate a la carte just on one night. The food was good, but not spectacular. We were happy eating at the buffet for most of our meals when we weren't at the beach. I found the food to be a little repetitive, but good nonetheless. I'm not a really picky eater, but there was always something I liked.

We didn't attend any of the entertainment venues so I can't comment on that aspect of the resort. We weren't there to party hardy anyways. Nor did we take part in any organized excursions...we just did our own thing when we wanted to. Grabbed a cab to Negril for some banking at the Scotiabank with a stop at the Times Square Duty Free for a little shopping on the way back. We also chartered a little boat (Moon Star) for some fishing and sightseeing along the cliffs. This was a great way to see the sights...from the water!

Be sure to grab a fresh lobster from the Office of Nature which is just north of the resort beach. They were delicious...fully worth the $20 each we paid.

Don't be intimidated by the beach vendors even though they might be a little persistent at times. A polite "no thanks" did it for me every time.

All the staff were great, always willing to go the extra mile to make our visit pleasant. I would highly recommend SATP to anyone looking to have a relaxing, worry free getaway.

We'll be back here next January...for 2 weeks! I can hardly wait, mon!!

So hard not to repeat what others have said but this place is truly paradise. I have travelled to many resorts each year, Negril Sandals, some very high end resorts and this place by far tops them all. NOW you must realize this resort is small, quaint, tropical, very much like a jungle and is NOT a party place. I have had my share of party vacations and wanted to try something a little more relaxing and romantic and this was the spot and would definately return.

The food was very good, no lineups, no problem booking a la carte and the service was always top notch. I planned a candle light dinner for my partner and they did an absolute fantastic job....so very romantic...(there was a fee involved of course) but it was a very special night for the two of us.

The beach.....beautiful, however I have been there before. I have been to Jamaica 8 times so I was not suprised with the beach. The beach grill was amazing and the red snapper was to die for....you had to get there early before they ran out.

The staff....incredible!! Always there to please and smile. I requested a room in the 400 block as well through my travel agent and upon arrival received a rm in the 700 block close to the road. They had no issues moving us the next day once someone checked out but after spending one night in our rm, the noise was not bad at all and we looked at where the other balconies were and our room was completely private....wonderful to relax on the day bed and listen to the birds, owls, woodpeckers and the crickets. Truly felt like we were in a glorious private jungle.

The only issue we had was they were spraying for ants. That evening our room was covered in ants and they were even in our bed....no exaggeration and I am NOT a complainer. They did have to move us for the night, they would have moved us permanently but we loved our room so much that we chose to stay after they sprayed and got rid of the ants and needless to say we did not have an issue after that. THE staff were so accommodating, I've never had such accomodation at any resort. The rooms are NOT your marble luxury rooms they are very rustic, hardwood but in my opinion above average. The showers are absolutely amazing, so many jets I want one at home.

Would I return, in a heartbeat.....it just isnt soon enough for me.

All I can say is PARADISE, PARADISE, PARADISE......
