I had a group booking of nine rooms and their was an error on the part of the Tour operator with our dates. I received a phone call from the GM Mr. Pierre Battaglia at the resort to inform me that they had just found out from our travel agent of the error and that they were working hard to accomodate our group. This was two days from our trip and the resort was fully booked for the one night in error. Needless to say the follow up from the GM, and the reservations manager was fantastic. There was never any doubt that we would be taken care of. We ended up having to 3 rooms at Couples Tower Isle for one night with the balance of guests checked in at San Souci. I have had and seen issues like this before at other resorts and non one has ever handled it as professionally as these folks did.
Many of the guests at Couples San Souci have stayed there previously and it is easy to see why they return. The hotel staff thrives on excellence and works to make each guest feel special. No matter who walks by, they say hello and greet you. Even the trainees that are serving are fantastic in engaging the guests in conversation.
The Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Dwight Powell made sure that our group had seating together each evening for 18 people and once again you cannot beat the food at San Souci. Fantastic lamb chops, lobster, Jerk Chicken. The beach party and gala nights are fantastic and you have to appreciate all the work that goes into setting up for the special evenings.
A year ago i felt that the entertainment in the evenings could be improved upon, and i can say that all of our group commented on how good the entertainment was this year. The reason we returned to San Souci was that everyone in our group wanted to return after having stayed there last year.
You get what you pay for when you stay at Couples. It truly is all inclusive including the trip to beautiful Dunns River Falls. The water Sports include all your dives if you are a certified diver, and you can play tennis till your legs give out.
Good staff just does not happen on its own, it comes from the leaders striving for excellence int heir organization. It is clear that GM Pierre Battaglia, his Operations Manager Nicholas Lynch and their staff are striving to be the best all the time in service, facilities, fun, and food.
Thank you again to all the staff at San Souci for making our trip the best it could be.
Room Tip: go for the first floor as there are many steps and hills to climb
