We spent one night here as we were traveling through Jamaica by car. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful and friendly, and we were charged the local rate ($50ish), which we did not expect.
There were 3 of us and we had a room in "the annex" with 3 single beds. The room was smallish but comfortable. No AC but in Christiana in April you need blankets more than AC. Shower had good pressure and reasonably hot water. The grounds are lovely, some nice views. The room and bathroom were spotless and the floors were a nice old wide plank wood, lots of atmosphere.
The bartender Errol was charming, and we had a WONDERFUL meal at the restaurant of oxtail stew, steak (yes, steak), and a nice breakfast in the morning, all for good prices.
We'd hoped to do a tour of the falls nearby but it had rained and was too muddy. We also wanted to see Gourie Cave but as we hadn't booked a guide in advance that wasn't possible. The staff did, however, direct us to the cave so we could check it out ourselves.
The common rooms are neat, have a 40's feel to them, and the small size of this hotel makes for a nice experience with the staff and any other guests that may be there.
I'd stay there again when in the area.
