We visited this hotel in june on a rather late deal, paying just over 700 pounds each. It was out first holiday together and it was a lovely stay. I have rated this holiday 4/5 because it needed a few things changing but would recommend anyone to go there! We were also on a tight budget so we just wanted to go there and spend nothing and thats what we did, although we did enjoy a day on the catamaran provided by the travel agent which was amazing and we went to a coral reef and saw amazing fish but yet only 1 type of fish yet thousands of them.

ROOM
The room was really well kept and the maids did a great job everyday. We wanted a double bed yet we had two singles although 1 bed was big enough to fit us both and the other bed was used as storage so we didn't complain. The room had good television for the night time and the air con was different class! No complaints about the rooms was very nice!

FOOD
There was a few bad points such as the food was basic but we are fussy eaters, although they did salami bagels which were amazing but we only had them once out of the two weeks we stayed as they had seem to never come back. The food wasnt the best but i never expect it to be unless i go to a 5* hotel. There were three different places to eat, 1 was alongside the beach and was a really nice place the other was a chinese type place and wasn't so great so we ate their once and the other was the buffet style which we ate quite a bit of and there was always something to eat and service was always very good.

ENTERTAINMENT AND FACILITIES
This was ok,mixture of different stuff as you had poolside entertainment, we the staff getting the kids involved and then night time entertainment which consisted off a mess around with the audience and then on to the DISCO TECH! which basically we got very drunk and played music and some on request. We never really used any facilities, we had our own snorkel kit and there was no need to use anything else as we just relaxed although there were water sports to be used we never tried them. There was a free gym to use but in the heat it there was no way i was going to work out! We never used the spa as it wasn't included in the all inclusive and we were on very tight budget.

GOOD POINTS
There was always something to eat
The place was very tidy
the maids gave you a free bottle of water everyday
security was on the door 24/7

BAD POINTS
we were hassled quite a bit on the beach to go on excursions or to buy products and enter time share type places
The sun was only out from 8am till 4pm then it poured of rain every night but it was nice because it cooled you off
The sea wasn't how it was described it wasn't clear blue, don't get me wrong it was nice but apparently it is much nicer in the south of the dominican republic as that is where the Caribbean sea is and we had the atlantic ocean.
