Went there from December 26 to january 3, 2010é Even with the ongoing renovations we were satisfied. Not a 5 star, not a 4.5 star but a decent 3.5 to 4 star. Our building was number 6 on the beach. Newly renovated. Beach front. We had a fridge with daily water. No local drinks. Shower had plenty hot water. Maid service was excellent, but if you want facecloth, bring your own.. Food was good, good choice (except for the beef), Wine tough was horrible. No free shuttle to town.
When we were there, no golf, no climbing, no casino. we went to town with the bus (50 pesos), Once in a taxi (12.00 $ U.S.). Beach was too windy for swinmming, but great for tanning and lots of shady area., but be there early to get your spot.
We think that for our money, time of year, we had a good deal.. Not a great deal, but a good one.
