We'll try to stick to the facts without the fluff.
Would stay here again without hesitation. If you reach out to the staff they will embrace you like family. EVERYONE was attentive to our needs: Front desk, Maid, Supervisors, kitchen staff, Bell Hop, and even the owner George.
Our first night was in room #130. You get what you pay for. Bargain basement price = bargain basement room. Avoid like the plague. Although clean, it was VERY small, with a horrible view from the window.
Rest of the week was spent in room #128 ... Now we're talking! What a room! And a private balcony to boot!
Breakfast = FANTASTIC! Prior to our going I read reviews where people were complaining of the $9.90 price (including tax & tip mind you), and that you could get a great breakfast for much less just around the corner at "La Cafeteria".
Right! I'm going to sit on a stool in a non air-conditioned hole in the wall, in 80-degree + weather, so I can save a few bucks. Get real. The 10-bucks is a bargain. And white table cloths in an air-conditioned room or, in a beautiful courtyard shaded by huge umbrella's. And the breakfast is complete. Anything and everything you would want. PERIOD!
The included FREE parking is fantastic. ... Oh, and the rooftop pool, unbelievable. Well worth a full afternoon of leisure and relaxing.
Delicious espresso is available (free) 24/7.
We took pictures but the ones already here are sufficient to give you a feel of the place.
Again I mention, extend a hand of friendship to the staff (say more than 'hello') and they will treat you like family. After a few days when we would get back to the hotel, it really did feel like we were home. The staff was that nice.
Enjoy!
