“Romantic place with fantastic service”

The HOTEL build in a 17 century house is a fantastic setting. Small and very friendly, almost like being invited home to your friend. My wife happened to have her birthday when we were there and the manager got us the most beatiful red roses and a bottle of champagne and a small red leather bag as a present. The breakfast in the room was excellent, and the dinner in the court yard, really nice. The only reservation was the room which did not quite match the rest of the experience. A little better attention to details and some kind of arrangement to get in more light.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the street.

“Beautiful building, spotlessly clean and incredible service.”

I have stayed at many hotels in Santo Domingo, Hotel Frances is by far, the best in terms of service and value. From when you first arrive the service is wonderful. Chumley, the front desk clerk is is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

“Continued good experience”

This is my second stay at the Frances and I will keep going back there. It is small and intimate. They were able to accomodate the requests of our group that needed three rooms; each with different needs. I love the central location that allows us to walk around the colonial city. I thought I would not miss the pool and I didn't but part of our group stayed longer and a pool would have been nice. I would have been happy to pay a small fee for the use of the pool at the sister hotel nearby.
