First, a few words about Dominica. If the one thing you must have in a tropical vacation is a beautiful, swimmable beach, you should probably forget about Dominica. But... if you are interested in unspoiled tropical beauty both above and beneath the sea, and you don't need to be pampered at a four star hotel, then I would not hesitate to recommend this island. My wife and I have travelled extensively in the Caribbean and the Bahamas and we have never seen a more beautiful island. The rain forest is spectacular, flowers, unusual birds, lakes, rivers, and unbelievable waterfalls wherever you go. Under the sea, I found some great snorkeling up and down the west (Caribbean) coast. This is a hiker's and diver's paradise.
Now, to Caribbean Sea View Apartments. My wife and I stayed at four different places during our Dominica trip and this was our favorite. Our Apartment, the Sunset Apartment, is aptly named as it is perfectly situated to take advantage some of the most beautiful sunsets that you will see. It was spacious, meticulously clean and has a very large covered balcony, overlooking the Caribbean, where, in addition to the sunsets, we watched 3 different kinds of humming birds gather nectar from the abundant bouganvillea and other tropical blooms surrounding the apartment. When we were at the apartment and not sleeping in the very comfortable king size bed, we spent almost all of our time on the deck, eating all of our meals there. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare whatever meals you would like to make.
Summing up, Sea View was a great place for us and quite reasonable as well. For our seven night stay, we paid ninety American dollars per night.
