- Great resort! Small enough that nothing is a long distance walk.
- Beautiful Beach; Sparkling Clean Pool; Good Food (A little repetitive though!)
- The only thing that would have made it perfect, would be if the "other" visitors would be considerate of those around them. I understand you weren't raised in "POLITE" Canada, but have some manners people! Wait your turn, Lower the volume, etc. etc.
- Star Friends (Entertainers) rock! Get to know them, and you're vacation time will improve vastly!
- Guys if you like to play soccer (football if you're European!) make sure you bring your runners and join Fernando, Julio, and others at the tennis courts (Usually starts around 5:30 pm)
- Most visitors to Cuba bring items to hand out that they no longer want or need. ie. Clothes, Shoes, Makeup, Toiletries, Toys, School Supplies, etc. Everyone in Cuba appreciates anything little thing you have for them: The Maid, The Bartender, The Entertainers, etc. BUT... We've chosen to bring items for the kids in the orphanage in Matanzas. (Matanzas is where most of the resort staff live and is about 40 minutes from Varadero). No one there speaks English, so this time we took our friend Elvis (Star Friend) with us to translate. Let just say it was a very moving experience for Elvis, and he wants you all to know, that if you're interested in going to the Orphanage, he'd be more than happy to go with you!!! (And if you choose to stay at a different resort, that's not a problem! I can give you his contact info!)
Enjoy the sun and sand!
