This place takes a bit of getting used to however its greatest advantage is that it can function as quiet oasis, having a lot of amenities, within a short taxi ride from the hub of Parque Ferreiro /the Media Santiago/ Hotel Las Americas, yet without all the sleaze of the latter. A lot of people apparently do not even know about this place and this was evident on my most recent visit, as I would wager that occupancy was below 50%. There are a minimal number of suites with king size beds.
There is an invitingly modern, yet rustic, entrance foyer, where there two Internet terminals that actually work, and small bar area. Non-guests can access to Internet or hang out at the pool for a few CUC, which are redeemed in the form of food and drink consumptions. A friendly masseuse will provide a therapeutic masseuse for a few CUC. Occasionally local daytime cruisers show up at the pool, however it was really very quiet when I was there. There is supposed to be dance instruction offered on site, however good lick tracking them down (perhaps try leaving a message at the desk).
The hot water may take forever to reach your room, depending on how far you are located from the main complex.. Towels, etc were minimal.
There is a Tienda and a conveniently located Cadeca.
The phones in the rooms actually work. Also staff will place a call for you which you can take at the booths by the main desk.
Staff attitude ranges from indifferent to quite friendly. A small tip and little kindness can go a long way.
It is usually possible to get a Cuba taxi, or taxi particular outside the main door, depending on the time of day. If none are lurking around, the desk will call one for you and call your room when it arrives.
