This hotel is in a beautiful old building with ground floor marble terrasse that overlooks the central plaza (Parque Cespedes). Depending on the day, you may get breakfast buffet or 'to order' and both were excellent for ever hungry bicyclists like us. We stayed two nights thinking this place may be noisy all night long but were pleasantly surprized at the relatively quiet nights (even with a room on the second floor facing the plaza - new double pane windows do the trick). Music and entertainment are during most afternoons and earlier evenings ('til ~9 pm or so) on and around the plaza. The views from the roof terrace are fantastic and lunch and drinks are also available here. I fully agree with "rarereviewerEssexUK", don't go overboard with your expectations - this is a very nice Cuban hotel with minor flaws that are easily made up by friendly staff, ambiente and location. We were allowed to carry our bikes up the stairs into our room, and the room was large and comfy, even with bikes. We couldn't care less about a non working elevator.
