Emville is simply the best value in the Caribbean. It's not a five-star hotel, but if you are budget-conscious, you will truly have a home away from home. I have stayed there twice and enjoyed both times immensely. You can walk to the beach and to the Oistins Fish Fry, or catch a bus to anywhere else on the island; it is not necessary to rent a car so long as you are up for adventure. The only taxi we took was from the airport, and Isolde was kind enough to arrange that before our arrival. Not only that, you have access to a kitchen so that you can save money by cooking your own breakfasts or dinners. Isolde and Gregory are very friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong by booking a room or the apartment at Emville.

I stayed with Isolde and Gregory for 9 days in the upstairs room. From the moment I had made my initial enquiry through to the day I left I was thoroughly taken care of.
Isolde was like my own personal concierge, organizing car rental, suggesting places to eat, drink and check out. Her and Gregory were able to suggest places of interest from both a tourist and a local perspective which made my trip even more exciting than just jumping in the car with a map. On top of their hospitality, the house was in a fantastic location close to the south shore surf spots, Oistins and its fish fry as well as the nightlife of the gap. The house was immaculate and the additional free high speed internet was very useful.
I look forward to getting back to Barbados not only for the people, the sun and the surf but also to be back at guest house Emville. It really was a highlight of my trip down island.

hi everybody.i visit for 3 month seven caribbean islands,and i stay 1 month in barbados,at emville guesthouse.simply the best guesthouse i've find in my trip!!!isolde is a special owner,and gregory is a great man.
the guesthouse is clean,tidy,with the bus stop 20 meter over the fence.

Myself and my family (10, including my partner, children, grandchildren) stayed at Emville, occupying both the guesthouse and the apartment. We found Isolde and Gregory to be very friendly, helpful and informative regarding local bars, restaurants and beaches. Located near to Oistins, St Lawrence Gap and also not too far from supermarkets and banks. Buses and ZRs ran frequently passed the property, although we did hire an 8 seater for a week to go further along the West Coast and to venture round a bit more. Would definitely return to Emville, although Barbados is quite expensive at the moment and the exchange rate is not so good, so not sure when that would be.
