“Lone star luxury”

Very luxurious feel and great staff who will provide anything you need at a moments notice. Beach chairs and beds setup for us every morning without request. Calm west coast sea at your footsteps, great scuba area, quiet stretch of beach. Excellent breakfast served every morning on our balcony.

Price was high but we both agreed it was worth every dollar.

“Beautiful boutique hotel”

Great hotel with 4 suites, all directly on the beach. Relaxed atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. There's no spa, gym or pool, but with a gorgeous beach right in front of you, it's hardly needed!
Each suite has access to the wireless internet, and a (very small), complimentary mini bar.
If you're looking for happy staff, romance, peace and quiet, good food and sunshine - Lone Star is exactly what you want

“Perfect!”

We stayed at the Lone Star for two nights and loved it! The staff is fantastic- every request is meet with a smile and an 'of course!'

Despite the restaurant being so close and the music it played at night, we couldn't hear any of it in our room. The acoustics were well planned.

The rooms are well furnished and the beds are very comfortable. The food at the restaurant is excellent! And the wine list is good, especially considering it's the Caribbean.

“Just Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2008

We knew this hotel because of the restaurant, having eaten there a number of times (Sunday Lunch is particularly good) and as we like to stay somewhere different each visit we decided to stay at the hotel.

There are just four beachfront suites and they are named after 'old' American cars. Our suite was the 'Lincoln' and we think the position of this would make it our favourite. Private but with a bit of buzz coming from the restaurant in the evenings. We had our own little bridge leading from our massive terrace to the restaurant and the beach.

Each morning four sets of loungers and sun-umbrellas are put out on the beach - not in the horrible rows that you see at other locations (with guests dashing out to reserve one of them with a towel or a book!!) but indiscriminately placed - two under a palm tree, two near the water's edge etc etc, you get the picture.

Most days we had the (inclusive) breakfast on our terrace which was a wonderful way to start the day. Very occasionally we ventured to the restaurant (because we had forgotten to book brekkies the evening before!).

Very friendly staff, especially Debbie who looks after the hotel side of things and is the person to e-mail for information, advice, bookings etc. Owner friendly and so are all the restaurant staff, office staff and chambermaids. Didn't see the Manager which was surprising.

Cannot fault anything at all and would recommend the hotel to anyone and everyone. Good value too.

My only disappointment is that although the bathrooms are enormous with a shower that must be at least five-foot-square, there isn't a bath - and I do love my soak. My husband was more than happy with the shower and I imagine most people would be and it certainly isn't something that would put me off going again.

The very highest of recommendations.

  • Liked — The space of the suite and terrace and the location - right on the beach
  • Disliked — Nothing really, but missed not having a bathtub
