Stayed at Crystal Cove with my husband in mid January for 7 nights to celebrate my birthday.
We had a lovely greeting when we arrived with a cool glass of rum punch. You don't really check-in, just get directed to the open air reception area while they organise your details and then walk through the beautiful grounds to your room.
We had upgraded to an oceanview room and it was absolutely worth it. We were on the edge of the resort, upstairs looking directly onto an uninterrupted view of the ocean. The only sound was of the small crashing waves. Pure heaven.
The food was first class. You often had Bajan specials at breakfast and these varied each day so you never got bored. For lunch, you could go to the outside beach bar which had a self service area. Alternatively, there was a 4 course table service in the main Reflections restaurant. They served afternoon tea at beach bar which was sandwiches, cakes, scones etc. At the beach bar you also had a soft drinks machine available along with tea and coffee and the bar was open for drinks from 10am all day too. Cave Bar was open all day too. For dinner, again you had choice of Reflections restaurant inside or beach bar. Sometimes you had special BBQs at beach bar, other nights it was a 4 course dinner. You had to reserve your table for dinner each day.
Fabulous cocktails available from both beach bar and Cave Bar. You also have a cocktail of the day to try!! I would highly recommend Mango Coladas. All included in the price.
The beach is amazing. The ocean is so clean and warm. Nicest beach ever. Throughout the day, staff come round with a variety of drinks to keep you cool as well as fruit in the morning and ice lollies in the afternoon.
The resort only has 88 rooms but has lots of grounds. Just perfect size for a relaxing week in the sun. This was our first stay in Barbados, will definitely be returning in the future and to Crystal Cove.
