We had the most fantastic meal (the martinis are a must - may I suggest the Watermelon), the service was first class and the food incredibly tasty!

After this first experience myself and a friend decided to spend the day making the most of the available facilities at 'The house' which you can as a day guest - what an incredible day. I cannot fault the service in anyway and if anything they provided a service fit for a king. At no point as a guest did I have to strain a muscle - ice cold bottled water was regularly provided without moving from the beach, drinks service, cool flannels to cool off - plus other small details which made the day fantastic. The food was exquisite and the service second to none. I can highly recommend both the restaurant and the 'The House' to anyone and the service and atmosphere was so much nicer than the highly over rated 'The cliff'.

I had the pleasure of dining at Daphne’s Restaurant on the recommendations of a local friend on Wednesday night. My party were lucky enough to be seated right on the beachfront and I must say it was fantastic to dine to the sounds of the waves gently breaking onto the shoreline and the sight of the moon dancing lovingly across the Caribbean sea. The service was prompt, efficient and very friendly with even the manager coming over to chat for a few. We really enjoyed that personal touch as he was able to give us some tips on better enjoying the country of his heart if not his birth. The food was brilliant and the tastes were like nothing we could describe. The chef created some mouth watering dishes combining the flavours of Italy with the spice of the Caribbean . Our experience at Daphne’s was so enjoyable and so memorable that we ate again there on Friday night! If ever you visit Barbados, take time to share in this totally delightful sensory culinary experience!. It's a must dine restaurant, you will never regret going to Daphne's. A two thumbs up for the staff at Daphne’s. Thank you for the memories, now if only I could bottle the fish soup starter… my sister would love it!.. hmmm!

My wife and I went for dinner at Daphnes two weeks ago. We arrived five minutes early at 18.25 and were told abruptly by a waiter that he woudl go and fetch someone. The hostess came out and told us to wait in the bar without a hint of friendliness. We eventually got to the table and ordered. The waiter poured wine for me to taste, I okayed it and he poured me a glass, completely ignoring my wife (who is Barbadian, with dreadlocks). We passed it off as an error on his part, but when he offered me parmasagne on my pasta he once again ignored my wife. Clearly these people have no respect for a local lady who is married to a white man. It was the most disgusting display of racism I have ever seen and the only time we have witnesed anything like it on the island. The food was disgusting and over priced.
Never, ever again!

A great meal beside the ocean. Excellent service and each dish was presented in a masterful way.
