We just got home from our honeymoon, 8 nights in Bermuda, all of them at Mazarine. We had a wonderful experience! A beautiful, well taken care of little hotel right on a small cliff over the ocean. The housekeeper, Dahlia, was a joy and took very good care of us. We stayed in room #7, which is the little detached cottage, and it was fantastic. A proper queen bed (not the 2-twin "kings" that are so common), a nice little kitchenette, lots of privacy, and a beautiful view of the ocean.
Helpful Mazarine Notes:
No internet access.
Only 7 rooms.
There is almost never anyone at the office, and rarely any staff at all. Dahlia takes great care of the rooms and and outdoor areas, but besides her you are pretty much on your own.
Just a couple minutes north of the city of Hamilton, with easy access, but in a quiet area. (100% of Bermuda is urban, so this is about as quiet as it gets. But very pleasant.)
Take a taxi for your arrival. Mazarine can arrange for a taxi with the driver having your room key. About $25 each way from the airport. (Before tip.)
Not really a B&B, in that there is no breakfast. (no meals at all.) Not a criticism, but the classifications on tripadvisor might suggest it is a B&B.
There is a little grocery about 1/2 block away, but it's not open late. (Few places are open late in Bermuda.)
We used a scooter and loved it. No need to book ahead, just call Wheels and they'll deliver one to you very quickly.
House of India is THE best restaurant on the islands, but be forewarned that it is a small hole-in-the wall and they take their spice seriously.
Rooms do have AC, which is a requirement in the summer.
Overall I would heartily recommend Mazarine to anyone but the loud party crowd. (I don't really want them fouling up my little oasis.) Great for families, honeymoons, etc.
