“If you want a natural lightly used beach.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I have regularly hiked up to Malmok from the Marriott or take a bus. It is a rustic setting with a combination of sandy beach stretches and rocky shelves. It is a regular stop for snorkel boats & fishermen. You can spend the day there & see very few people. I snorkel & fish from the shore at Malmok. It is on the North end of Aruba & there are absolutely no amenities up there. Take what you will need & enjoy the isolation.

“Good for snorkeling”

This small beach is probably the best from the shore snorkeling venue on the Island, since all of the tours seem to end up here and snorkel from their boats. We came here twice during our stay, and the late morning was far less crowded than the afternoon when the a fore mentioned boats arrive. To get to the best spots enter the water at the far right of the beach (a few beach front houses beyond the limits of the small parking lot). You should have at a minimum water shoes since there are some rocky areas, but that is where most of the fish are. You can rent masks, flippers and lounge chairs here, but there are no toilette facilities. We enjoyed our two visits and if I were to go back to Aruba, this would be where I would spend a good bit of my time. The water here is much clearer than by the eagle/palm beach resorts, but I was still a bit disappointed in that regard, since on our trip to Curacao a few years ago we encountered ideal clarity of water, and this did not compare, nor was there as much diversity of marine life.

“Clear Water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

All of the beaches at the north end are great. When looking at a map it's hard to tell which beach is which. We enjoyed taking picutres at this beach but didn't hang out much because the water was really rough here on the days we visited. It's more rocky than the other beaches, but great to snorkel!

“Nice to snorkenling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I don't know much about snorkeling. But I had a great time here. Fish are so friendly, it seams they are saying hello to you. I saw a nice variety of fish. Very nice place.
