We loved our 5 nights at Los Castanos. Di and John were the perfect hosts. We were principally there for the walks and John sorted us out some fantastic hikes. We particularly enjoyed the one in the National Park. Di's evening meal was lovely and breakfast every day was a treat. John appeared every morning in a dazzling array of Christmas jumpers! We were incredibly lucky with the weather - the greyness of the London weather is a grim reminderof what we left behind!

We had a wonderful 3 nights in Los Castanos where we were able to completely relax. Every need was catered for right down to the hot water bottles, honesty bar and log fire. The gentle walks around the area were lovely and the atmosphere in the village friendly. Hard to believe only 45 mins from the busy coast. Breakfast and dinner were a highlight as were the comfy beds and loo with the most awesome view! The service provided by Di and John was spot on. Thank you.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Los Castanos looked after brilliantly by Di and John We began every day watching the sun rise above the mountains from our bedroom window, spent the daytime exploring this beautiful region and then relaxed with a delicious meal in the evening. Great hotel, excellent rooms, fantastic food and Di and John go out of their way to make your stay special. Highly recommended!

We spent a week in the hotel on a walking holiday. It was absolutely excellent, as other reviewers have said the food and hospitality are first class. The building itself is delightful - only 10 years old but prefectly in sympathy with its surroundings - and the rooms are large and well-equipped.
