“A great place for a city person”

I stayed with a friend in September. The house was so inviting, and our room was lovely with a view of the hills. Breakfast was great and very filling. The animals won me over. The donkeys were so sweet, the dogs friendly, and the "ole boy", a pheasant was fun to watch. The sheep were on the surrounding hills. Dieskirt Farm is near villages, but you forget the outside world when you are there.
Thank you Ann and James.

“Very peaceful place and the owners fussed over us ! Do not miss that lovely b&b.”

I stay with my boyfriend one night there in August. Ann was very nice and warmful with us. Everything in that b&b is made to feel you like at home. You can watch DVD in your room and if you ask Ann you can even make a barbecue in the garden! There are a lot of cute donkeys, sheeps and one horse.
It was so peaceful. I did not wanna leave that place...in one word: do not miss it!!!

“Absolutely fantastic b&b that has it all, extremely friendly caring owners, delicious lovingly made food, lovely animals and bre”

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights in this b&b. We are in our twenties and wanted a nice wee break from work to get away and explore. We were immediately welcomed and made to feel at home, shown around the facilities (tea, coffee, biscuits and cake anytime in the communal kitchen included) and and left to settle in.  We were allowed to pet and feed all the pet donkeys who had lovely natures. The room was gorgeous, kitted out to a high standard with a lovely ensuite bathroom with toiletries supplied! There was fresh water and glasses provided and a DVD and communal selection of DVDs. The room was well lit and had a fantastic view from each window of the pet donkeys and well kept gardens within the back drop of the breathtaking glens. We were so shocked how stunningly kitted out and situated the b&b was as we had decided to go last minute. The owners Ann and James accommodated us without any problems on the same day I had inquired. They answered any queries and questions I had and made me feel excited about coming. We were given maps depicting routes to get to Larah lodge (just a 10minute scenic and enjoyable walk from the b&b) and Ann explained things we could do and recommended we eat at the lodge. It did not disappoint, the food was top class and the starters, steak and dessert were extremely tasty and the service was second to none!
The breakfast each morning provided consisted of a fruit buffet, cereals, yogurt, cake (yum) and fruit juices to start, then Ann made us a full Irish breakfast cooked to perfection (We had the option of salmon and scrambled egg but preferred a fry). This was served on hot places with fresh toast and tea or coffee! Ann chatted to us and ensured we had enough to eat and drink till we were full! The b&b was full both nights we stayed but this didn't effect the top class treatment we received! We wanted to hike glenariff, so Ann provided a map James and her had made to guide us up there farm land. She also provided the utensils and butter so we could make sandwiches from food we had bought, she bent over backwards for us and we felt so special! The route didn't disappoint and we explored all the routes throughout glenariff park. We particularly looked forward to the waterfall trail recommended by them and we walked it four times as it was so beautiful!
This b&b has everything!!! Character, homeliness, great company, fantastic food, beautiful private scenic routes, dining, cleanliness all in gorgeous surroundings for £55 per night (two night rate)!
We will definitely be back to stay at Ann and James beautiful farm b&b and cannot wait for our next break! We recommend a two night stay to anyone, to soak up the atmosphere, get to know the owners and explore all there is to offer on their doorstep! We would have stayed a third night, but the weather wasn't in our favour!

“A jewel in a wonderful forested setting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2011

Beautiful rural setting on Northern Irelands west coast. Three mile (paved but for the last 500 yds) off main highway. Distance is NO PROBLEM. Rooms recently renovated. Showers wonderful. We used as a base to tour the Antrim Coast. B'fast was exceptional as was warmth, hospitality and knowledge of hosts Ann and James. Despite rural setting there is a wonderful restaurant a mere 10 minute walk down a forested trail (restaurant is also accessible by road) that serves very affordable and very high quality meals.
