Yapham is a perfect place for people trying to find some silence and rest. Nevertheless there is plenty to see and to do. The coast offers unextpected views and you learn a lot about the strength of nature. And when you come back to the cottage, you will find a comfortabel place. We stayed at Barley Cottage for two weeks and every single day was a treat. Jane and Jimmy know how to make people feel happy.
For us it was a privilege to get the chance of sharing two weeks with them on their estate.

If you are looking for a total get away from it all break then this is exactly what you will get, off the beaten track, beautifully presented accomodation, the owners have thought of everything. Good location for exploring North Devon and Cornwall.

We were looking for somewhere a little off the beaten track to escape for a while and someone recommended we take a look at Yapham Cottages in North Devon, the website offered rugged stone cottages in what looked to be a beautiful area...we were not disappointed when we arrived! homemade scones greeting us and advice/recommendations of what we could do during our stay from friendly hosts Jane and Jimmy Young. The cottage was delightful and the scenery beautiful in the autumn- perfect for a long walk finished off with a drink by the fire in the local pub. We would totally encourage people to go to Yapham if they want a break from the norm, good value for money too...go go go!!

Having recently returned from yet another visit to Yapham cottages, we can only say that after each visit we are very sorry to leave. On every journey down to Yapham we eagerly anticipate our arrival, knowing that there will be something new awaiting us. We have yet to be disappointed. The owners, Jane and Jimmy Young make everyone so welcome and they are constantly improving their excellent accommodation. They are a fund of knowledge about the area and are always willing to discuss potential places of interest. In fact, they never stand still, and are always exploring more potential places to visit.
