This hotel is about thirty minutes north of Jackson Wyoming. We reserved early and got a room in the lodge with a spectacular view of the Grand Teton Range. The room had an enormous picture window and we could lie in bed with the best view EVER. The room had been recently renovated. It was clean and simple, like a Hilton Garden Inn or Courtyard.
The hotel itself is interesting architecturally, think 1950's Frank Lloyd Wright. The hotel had not been completely redone, so there was a musty smell. The formal dining room has the same awesome view as the room but the food was acceptable. Aside from the formal dining room, the food was bad. It has an interesting looking diner that could be kitschy fun but the food was awful, go elsewhere.
They have stables and, if you have small children like myself, they offer pony rides. The lady at the stables was really nice. So were the people in the concierge area who help plan trips, including float trips.
Although the food was not good, the location was perfect for exploring the area. Also, there is a comfortable Western feel to this hotel that made me overlook any negatives.
