The drive up to the resort was a little long and arduous, but that comes with any hotel thats built on the hills. The resort locale is stunning, gorgeous views. We were a party of 6, and had one cottage booked exclusively for ourselves. The cottages are very lovely, oozing traditional Kerala architechture. The rooms were adequate, not overly luxurious, clean and well kept. There was the problem of noise from the forest insects, which again is something that you cannot avoid in a place like this one.
The food served by the staff was adequate and good - although I wished the breakfast was not the best. The biryani for lunch was indeed excellent though.
Tip: Bring your own alcohol and / or food supplies from the towns nearby before you get there - getting anything from the mainland involves a long drive and the resort folks will take a while and charge extra to get stuff you order from the town.
The resort includes a gorgeous little stream with tiny waterfalls you can bathe in as well. The manager did tell us that we could swim in the gorgeous lake in front of the main building, but we werent adventurous enough to try it.
All in all, fabulous location, good service, good food, and a relaxing time. We loved our short visit there.
