Once an old wine cellar, this beautifully renovated inn a few miles outside of Carcassonne, provided us with a relaxing and peaceful stay. Each room is named for a different grape variety which reflects the history of the facility. The peaceful nature of the inn can be attributed to the abundant use of the original stone, minimal clutter of furnishings, use of earthtones, and the presence of the blue water of the pool in the center of the courtyard. Hosts Gayle and Frederic and their adorable daughter Anais were perfect hosts. If you have a car, and are visiting Carcassonne, give this place a try. It's located about 15 minutes from the city; however, be aware that GPS may try to take you down one-way streets the wrong way in this little town.

We had a beautiful time in the LE RELAIS DE VENTENAC... the Morvan family are excelent and the hotel it's extraordinary ! Great place very near Carcasonne in the middle of the country. And a super super breakfast ! (in the french style) !!!

B&B as it should be .... and a bit more. Quiet, relaxing location in a little village 10mins from Carcassonne. Fantastic renovation - rooms are all huge and well thought out. Generous breakfasts at sensible times. Gayle and Fred (and family!) were incredibly welcoming hosts and always had time to give advice or have a chat. Thoroughly recommend it!

3 weeks in france and this was the BEST accomodation of the trip. Everything about the place was 1st class....cost, cleanliness, atmosphere, hospitality and especially the toast and English breakfast tea for breaky ( after all the bad coffee and croissants). We arrived quite late in the evening and the English speaking hosts could not have been more accomodating. It was nice to be out of the city and yet close enough to go explore. Very peaceful, no traffic, bed was extremely comfy......I can't speak highly enough . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
