“Rooms tired, noisy and not clean”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

The room was very tired and felt 'cold' and empty, the furniture old and the room was not clean. The room was noisy with some kind of electric tranformer turning on and off on the road outside. During the day it was okay, but at it was noisy. We ordered a club sandwich that was incomplete but didn't come with any apology when we mentioned it. The location is lovely.

“Perfect resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

It is my second visit to Peppers Anchorage, and I still love it. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are extremely friendly and nice, and the buffet breakfast is fantastic. I love the merrits restaurant for both buffet breakfast and dinner. The hotel is secluded and you have your own parking space outside your room. It is nice to walk along the waters, which is so very peaceful and calm. The rooms also open out to your own verandah, where you can enjoy the serenities.

Room Tip: disabled rooms are huge

“Very nice resort”

Nice spacious room with seating area + a balcony overlooking the beach. Generally quite clean, except one or two stains on the pale beige carpet which isn't perhaps a practical solution for a hotel room. Bed was very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner in the Restaurant was excellent, with great fresh local ingredients used. Buffet breakfast also very good. We only stayed one night, wish it had been more.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage, it might be best to ask for a ground floor room. We struggled up to t...

“Weekend escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I took my husband to this beautiful location for his birthday.... We had an incident (not the fault of the hotel)... It could have ruined our whole weekend. The manager Kent & his staff particularly Jo (reception), Seva & Ashleigh (restaurant) were fantastic & supportive & caring. It's when something goes wrong that you really find out how good the staff are this staff were fantastic!!!!
They made everything so lovely for us. The champagne in our room & the Birthday plate that they provided was just beautiful.
We were not going to eat at the restaurant & felt it may be a bit expensive but we are so glad we did. The food was presented beautifully & every thing we tried was world class. The breakfast was lovely & the outlook from the restaurant amazing!!! I read the other comments about outdated bathrooms & they may be but don't let that stop you as they were clean & adequate..
I would highly recommend this property & would definitely go back...in fact we can't wait....

“Another good Peppers resort...”

Good location on the Marina. This hotel has a large number of rooms, but only a small pool area which is slightly overcrowded. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, and all the staff most helpful. We combined this hotel with the Hunter Valley to make a good 3 day side trip from Sydney.
