“Outstanding: breathtaking view, great room, very romantic”

We spent in this hotel 8 nights this summer, with a young child and for the first time, the hotel and the room were actually nicer and bigger than on the internet. So, beautiful hotel, with impecable cleanliness, huge room (we had double with an extra bed), full of light beacause of the huge glass balcony doors, the balcony was large and the view absolutely gorgious! The pool, the best in the whole area, impecable as cleanliness, temperature etc. We had breakfast and dinner included, the food was basic, but tasty, fresh and sufficient. The whole resort is very quiet and romantic and the restaurant and hotel owners are all so kind and friendly. The beach was at a short walk distance through Agios Gordios, sandy, with clean and pleasant water. So, I would recommend it to everyone and we would return there any time! An unforgetabble experience!

“Nice and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2009

In overall it's a nice place to stay.
I staid in this hotel for a week in august 2009 and was satisfied.
Room was big enough (triple room for a family of 4) and everything what I would expect was available. The pool is probably the best in neighbourhood!
The hotel is small and quiet (compared to the neighbouiring Pink Palace) and it's really a good place for family with small children or perhaps for a young couple :)

Thought the hotel intro says that all the rooms in Aloha overlook the sea (this is true) then however the view from some of the triple rooms located at the side of the building hit the electricity line post and a sewer systems below. So if the view has to be perfect You have to make sure that the room is closer to the pool. All in all the Agios Gordis is very nice place and the beach is more sandy than on the east side of the Corfu!

What bothered me a bit was the broken balcony door lock - it left me unsafe feeling when I left the room. There is a safe in the room thought - so You can leave the most valuable things in the safe while having breakfast or spending time at pool. But again - the safe is so small that a normal laptop does not fit inside!

In contrary to what is said on Aloha hotel website - there was no minibar in the room (I do not complain) but there is a reasonably large fridge that comes quite handy!
Thought the SAT TV is advertised there is only 3 channels available.

The most disappointing thing was for myself the real lack of wifi coverage INSIDE the hotel room. Thought the hotel advertises the free WiFi, the signal dies inside the building and even on the balcony the reception was poor. You can manage to check the emails but you cannot use Skype or similar VOIP app. The reception is much better at the pool area but if there is really a need to productively use internet then You would probably look for a place away from direct sunlight, with air conditioner and power outlet.

Those small issues aside - it is a nice place to stay and it is good for family person.

“Enjoyable”

My wife and i stayed @ the Aloha hotel from the 8th-15th September 2008.
The hotel is 3 star and very nice, the rooms are comfortable and clean they have safe deposit boxes, fridges, television, and telephones and all come with a superb view over Agios Gordios. What i did find strange was that none of the sinks in the bathrooms had plugs so what a waste of water, The hotel also had a fantastic pool area which also had a small childrens pool with a slide it also had a bar which sold drinks and hot or cold snacks, the pool was also open to other people not staying at the Aloha, as long as they paid for a drink or the use of sunbed.
We stayed half board the only complaint being that there was no choice of food although i must say the dinners were really nice, breakfast was rather basic though.
Agios Gordios is very, hilly the hotel is up a very steep hill and not really suitable for people with walking problems.
The beach i thought was poor not really suitable for families with young children ,although mainly sandy there are plenty of rocks and stones ,also the sea can get quite rough which is not good for swimming.
Also i found Agios Gordios too quite for me, the village is nice with gift shops, tavernas, supermarkets, places to dance or listen to music ect ,but i felt a sence of being cut of .
There is a good bus service into Corfu Town 4 euros return a journey of 40 mins so although we both had a good time i doubt if we would come again

“Loved the view (and not only) !”

I visited the hotel with my girlfriend on Aufgust 15th. We arrived very early in the morning, a litle bit exhausted from the night trip. The fisrt impression for the personell was not so good, but they finally proved to be very helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable (although we'd prefer a double bed, not 2 singles united). However, the major hit was the perfect view from the balcony, which is lovely in the morning as the sun rises from the other side. You can stare the beautiful seaside of the village for hours! Really lovely!
The breakfast was also satisfactory. Every day the personnel asked us if we wanted eggs & bacon (in which of course we didn't say no!!!).
The pool is the biggest in the village and gathered a lot of people (not only tenants of the hotel, but fortunately this proved to be not so annoying). The only problem was Saturday night, when a wedding party took place. There was some noise, but when you see the majestic moon from the balcony, you forget everything!
As for Agios Gordios, it's a great village, where you can spend the night without having to go to the old town of Corfu.
I'm looking forward to visiting Agios Gordios & Aloha hotel with my beautiful girlfriend again!
