“"A Treasure Near Limerick, Elegantly Presented..."”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

"This is yet another Jewel just outside of Limerick. The moment One arrives a Vibrant Miriam greets and welcomes You to this Lovingly restored Bank of Ireland and the Wealth that She & Her Husband infused is the Value contained in Heart & attention to detail. She whisks One away to a Romantic time through the Ambience that is there & yet all the conveniences are attended to as well. Spacious, Sweet and quiet with Phenomenal close proximity to "The Grange Stone Circle" and Megalithic Grave Sites. As Our Irish Odyssey was Our 1rst and as We were "Winging It" ...Rob & I both searched the day before for Our next B&B experience & Individually, We both were drawn to "The Old Bank Bed And Breakfast." Absolutely trusting synchronistic events...We immediately booked! The Breakfast was Fantastic & even a special request for hot chocolate was Honored & given in plentiful amounts. Miriam is a Wealth of information as well for the Traveller & always open to anything One desires. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank You so very much, Miriam, You & Your Family are a very Special Group! Blessings for Eternity in all that You do!
Love Always & Forever,
L.A.A.F.

Thank you Rob & Patricia (PAT) for what is a most gracoius review.

Im extremely blessed that we get to welcome such lovely guests such as your selfs, & I truly love what I do here, the social aspect is most the most rewarding part of this. I do hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay on our fair isle and as I say the "spirit of the Irish is to be found in its country side and people"

Till we meet again, may I return the compliment with a Irish blessing

"May the road rise to meet you, the sun shine on your face and the wind be at your back" & theres always a place at our table.

“Miriam is awesome!”

A little off the beaten path, The Old Bank was an absolutely wonderful stop and we highly, highly recommend it! The B&B is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable (and offer a whirlpool bath!). Breakfast was absolutely wonderful, as the meat was provided by Miriam’s (the proprietor’s) husband who is a butcher (best rashers and black/white pudding we had the pleasure of eating!). Miriam was wonderful to talk with and very knowledgeable about the area and sights within Ireland – we wish we had more time to spend there!

“Great B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

We stayed at The Old Bank while touring southern Ireland with four other couples. Even though we arrived rather late, Miriam talked with the owner of a pub down the street who offered to stay open for us to get a bite to eat. The Old Bank has a warm and cozy feel about it and our accommodations were wonderful - our room overlooked Main Street. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Limerick area. Thank you Miriam for a lovely visit, the wonderful hot, homemade scones and for allowing us to meet your sweet children.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

My husband and I visited the Old Bank last week for two nights. We were traveling around Ireland for our honeymoon. This B&B was wonderful, that's the only word for it. The room was very nice, we found the decor to be cozy and charming, and the friendliness and helpfulness is on par w/ a five star hotel. It would have been nice to have a king bed for our honeymoon instead of a double and single bed, but that's not the old Bank's fault. We misunderstood what a standard room was when we booked it through our travel agent. Miriam, her family, and staff is very friendly. She told us some sites to see that we didn't even know existed, and they were well worth viewing. She also has an enviable location... there's about 3 pubs, a store, and a couple restaurants within a block or two of her place; it's also just a short drive from some major and minor attractions. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to anyone. Thanks again Miriam for everything.

Thank you both so much for what is a excellent review of both my home & Locality..... If you had added a note that it was your honey-moon, Had I a Fourposter room available I would of course given you both this room - no one want a double and single bed for there honey moon...... I do hope you both enjoyed the rest of your trip and on behalf of me & my family I hope you accept this Irish blessing......
