We had a week here at the end of September and had a great time.
Our flight in was delayed by Greek air traffic control striking over planned austerity measures and we had to drive in the dark, did not find the hotel map useful and there appeared to be a complete lack of written instructions on their website. We arrived late and had to carry our own luggage to our room which was distant from reception and involved some stairs too. Not an ecouraging start!
That said, overall the hotel is very good with great staff who go that extra mile to make sure you feel welcome. The buffet breakfasts were as you might hope with lots of choice and topped up regularly to ensure freshness. We intended to eat out a few times but found that the quality of the evening buffet meals at least matched the local restaurants and offered better value for money. (Can only assume previous reviewers were either unlucky or perhaps didn't realistically equate cost to quality.)
The only slight reservation was the bedroom which was fine but aruably not 5* quality but the suites in the main part of the hotel appeared to be more in keeping with 5* status.
The staff were great however, particularly in the restaurant and poolside bar. We had reservations about the 'Greek evening' but were glad we went, particularly as the restaurant staff let their hair down and joined in too.
Overall a very enjoyable week which we thought was value for money.
