we (a German young couple) had a great time in Greece. One main resean despide the countryside and the weather was definitely the "Avra Pension". The staff is more than friendly. They are helpful and you can have great conversations. Also you will receive many advices for IOS and other islands. The rooms are perfectly clean (every day cleaned). With 3 minutes form the port is the location excellent.

We have just arrived back in the UK after a trip island hopping in Greece. This hotel cannot be rated high enough as far as we are concerned. We have never stayed in such a clean, well cared for or friendly place ever in all our years of travel. The value for money in late September was tremendous. Anyone planning a trip in these islands really should stay here. Very quiet location close to all the amenities of Yialos, buses, ferries etc. The lady here is a mine of local information and so friendly, speaking several languages. A must visit place!

We really liked the hospitality!
We had a great breakfast with homemade jam and cakes every morning and the lady was very dedicated.

The room was extremely clean and was cleaned every day.
Bed linen smelled like clean! :)

Very nice place! If we return to Ios, we will stay at Avra Pension again.

I was with friends and my boyfriend at Avra pension ... Guys, believe me it really worth it to stay there .... is simple, but very very clean, the rooms are spazziose and the service is impeccable! The staff is friendly and courteous .... Katerina mainly responsible for us was like a mother for 2 weeks ....
my vote is 9 / 10!
