We stayed at Clifton Sands for a week as we were looking to buy a car in Cairnes, for a trip through the outback. We first booked three days and then Grant kindly allowed us to book extra days as we needed them. He is a minefield of information and helped save us a lot of time with his useful no nonsense advise for travelling. Both he and Monika are very friendly pleasant people who do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and homely. It is well equiped with everything you need and is suitable for long or short stays at a price that is impossible to beat. The bathroom even had washing and drying machines. The linen and towels were all of a high standard, and the pool great. The area is quiet and relaxing and yet within easy reach of amenities. It has wifi which was important to us and better still it was free!

All in all great value for money and each piece of advice and help from Grant was worth a thousand dollars ;-)

Second time we've now stayed at Clifton Sands - the pool area has just been re-done in the past month - fantastic.

Unit 14 has a plasma in lounge & bedroom, is very clean, everything we want & excellent value for money. I've added some photos of the view to the beach & inside.

It's not 5-star, and it's not in Palm Cove - we walk casually to Palm Cove along the boardwalk near the beach and it takes 30 mins slow walking if we want to go there for dinner - but local bus is at the front door & Clifton Capers restaurant is across the road.

Great value for money for very clean, excellent located accom on Cairns northern beaches.

Clifton Sands Apartments are half way between Palm Cove and Trinity Beach, two very
touristy spots, so staying here is quieter and far more relaxing! However, it is a lovely
walk north through a boardwalk to Palm Cove and a beach walk to Trinity Beach if you
feel like some action!
The apartments have all been "done up" by Grant, the tireless Manager and he has
done a wonderful job. Not flash, but very comfortable, homely and with an easygoing
atmosphere. The beach is a one minute walk away, there is a nice view through
the trees to the water, and the bus stops right outside, so no need for a rental car.
Clifton beach is also half way between Cairns and Port Douglas, which is a 45 minute
car journey away so nice to visit and then return to the tranquility of Clifton Sands.

We wanted a quiet get away where we could chill after our adventurous outings during the day. Staying in Cairns didn't appeal. Clifton Sands was perfect for us! The facilities may not be the latest but they are well maintained & I (the fussy one) was happy with everything Clifton Sands provided. The internet by the pool was a pleasant way to keep in contact with the rest of the world. Monika is a treasure & went beyond the call of duty to ensure our adventures were all that we wanted them to be.

The location worked well. A pleasant stroll along the beach to Palm Cove. A bus stop nearby was another way of getting to the supermarket if you didn't want to walk. All the tourist companies we booked with picked up & dropped us off from Clifton Sands.

Thoroughly recommend Clifton Sands as a place you get more Bang for your Holiday Buck!
