“The best in Lamai. Great value for money. Beautiful grounds and pool”

Good size clean rooms overlooking stunning spacious pool. Good safe in room. Ground floor room recommended but if you want to spend a touch more the big suites are amazing. Very quiet night and day and would rival much more expensive hotels for value. The best location in all Lamai with 30 sec walk into very centre of town but just set back enough to be quiet. Breakfast choices small but walk out the front and choices are endless. 2 min walk through the back of the resort to beautiful beach great for swimming or kids to play. Recommend this hotel very highly for location, value and great pool area. Would definitely stay here again!

“Great deal at Lamai”

I must say I was positively surprised when have reached the hotel after long trip from BKK. It was clean, new, friendly staff, great swimming pool ....for the money we paid really no complaints at all (ok the breakfast was quite poor but the store is just 50 meters should you need more). The beach was another 100 m with all the famous Thai beach life service. Internet is available for small money at the reception (3 PCs)
Don’t hesitate to go there.

“Had to change hotels after one night! Noisy and cockroaches!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2010

We arrived at the hotel, with relatively high expectations based on the reviews from trip advisor and considering it was more expensive then most of the hotels we had stayed in around thailand.

We got there and there we're power cuts continuosly and therefore no AC, the generator took a long time to kick in, but it was so loud we could here it in our room and it was very frustrating! Even the generator kept failing, electricity continually when off and on. We left hoping the evening would be better.

When we got back around 11pm, the electricity was back on, but so were the parties, near by clubs and bars were so loud from our room, it was very difficult to sleep and we were greated by a very large cockroach.

The internet cost was 150Bht per hour (hugely expensive considering you could go down the street and pay 30/hr)

Frankly this hotel is run down, the shower has a mouldly plastic curtain and the place seemed more like a cheapy hostel.

Conclusion, for the same price you could do much better (like a lot better), avoid this hotel unless you like cockroaches and loud music.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2010

At first we had planned to only stay for three nights, but we decided to come back later and stay for another three nights because we liked it so much. We paid 1800 baht per night for a double room with AC, not by the poolside, which was a few hundred baht more.

The room was large and very clean and felt new. It had a tv, safety box, fridge with complimentary water every day and a quite large balcony (if you book a poolside room it overlooks the pool, while ours more overlooked the reception/parking lot). Our first three days we stayed in a room on the ground floor which was great. It was quiet and the AC worked perfectly. The second time we stayed on the second floor which was noisier and the AC in that room was not as efficient, and it took a while to get the temperature to a comfortable level.

When we came back the second time we were greeted in a very welcoming way by all of the staff, it felt like coming home in a way. The staff was all very helpful and happy throughout our stay.

The pool was wonderful. Very large and a lot of tanning beds surrounding it. The only negative things about the pool was that the tiles in the pool had sharp edges, which might not be good for kids or people playing and running around in the pool. We never got any cuts from it though, but it was close a few times, and that the water was a bit too hot for our taste. Connected to the large pool was a smaller children's pool.

The hotel had wireless internet but you had to pay for it, can't remember exactly how much, but it wasn't very cheap. The internet cafes on the street were cheaper. The location was great for us. It was close to lots of shopping and restaurants, and also McDonalds and Subway. Walking to the beach took maybe 3 minutes.

The breakfast was great. They had several choices of toast bread and also croissants along with fresh fruits, juices, milk and cereal. On top of that you could choose from a menu of eggs, bacon, fried rice, french toast, soup, etc.

Overall a very good hotel!

“A true palace”

My cousin and I stayed here for 2 weeks in March. Lovely hotel with large room. Cleaned everyday with bottles of water supplied in the fridge and tea and coffee. Just a short walk to Lamai beach out the back gate. The Lamai Beach Road was just outside and considering how near the nightlife was we were not kept awake. The staff were really nice especially Jay who was so friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the Hotel did not have a bar this may be becuase it is so close to the bars and restaurants but it would have been nice to have a drink before going out and a nightcap went we got in. The only noise was from some guests and their overnight friends! Would definately recommend this hotel great value and fab location. Koh Samui beautiful. Get a scooter and see the island. Eat at the market 40 baht for curry and rice delicious. Something special go to Nikki Beach, Zicos or The Cliff.
