We stayed at this hotel at the end of October for 4 nights. We had booked an arrangement with a travel agency specialised in train travels. We were suprised to find the hotel to be quite far from the next train station in Montelupo. The surroundings are ok but not spectacular.
The room was cozy and we really fell in love with the bathroom, which had underfloor heating, a heated radiator, a big shower and a magnifying mirror.
The staff at the hotel were nice. The hotel certainly has a lot of charm, as it is a converted monastery and it has been converted with a lot of attention to detail.
The sauna and fitness are in a separate small house 10m from the hotel. Using the sauna was very nice and relaxing. The swimming pool, which we didn't use, didn't look attractive.
The dinner at the hotel was fine. We went to Montelupo 2x for dinner, there are some good restaurants there.
To do our day trips to Florence, Pisa and Siena we had to get from the hotel to the train station in Montelupo. Because we had no car, we had to ask a staff member to bring us. These transfers worked out well and it felt like "coming home" every night when the driver waited for us at the train station to bring us to the cozy hotel.
