We found the hotel while driving. Its big and sits in a field a few kilometers from Grosetto. The loby was warm (not a complement in September). We asked if we can have dinner and were told that there was a wedding and the manager would speak with us. After about 10 minutes of wating we wer told we can head up to the restaurant. Restaurant was also warm, the waiter appeared and proceeded to oreder us to order food in the way he felt it should be done. The experience was not pleasant. There was no price on the menu. It turned out to be a prix fix dinner. None of us wanted to eat 5 courses of food. We ended up paying 25 Euro for a plate of sphagetti. Not fun. The air conditioning in the room did not work. After complaining we were told that it will be reset. 5 minuts later the lights went out along with the AC. Once they came back on nothing changed. Thre was a faint stream of luke warm air coming out ot the unit. A man came to the room, flipped some switches and left. No cahnge. The shower would work for 7 seconds at a time, then had to be reset. The same man returned, pulled on the levers in the bathroom, acknowledged that the shwower did not work and left. We demanded to pay les for the clearly defective room in this 4 star hotel and were told that we already had a good rate.
