Stayed at the lady maria from the 21st to the 25th february 2011. The hotel is situated in a very small, quiet village in the lower reaches of the dolomite mountains. The hotel has that friendly aptmosphere you expect from a family run establishment. The rooms in the main hotel all appear to have been renovated recently and are spotlessly clean, the only downside is that the rooms are very small. Our twin room was actually a single room with an extra bed shoe horned into it which gave you very little room to move about, the bathroom was a good size and again spotlessly clean with a good range of complimentary shower gel's etc. We were told by other guests in our party to avoid rooms on the top floor of the main hotel as they have very low beams which you have to constantly duck under to move around your room. The hotel also offers room in a separate annex but having not seen these rooms i cannot pass comment on them.
The food was fine, you were told the night before what the meal was the following night and if it was not something that you liked or fancied a good array of alternatives was always offered. The meals were predominately soup/pasta to start with either pork/beef with potato's for the main course. We felt breakfast could have been a little better as it consisted of bread rolls with cheese and ham or croissants every morning with no fresh fruit or yoghurt available. We stayed on an all inclusive basis which was not good value as the lunchtime "packed lunch" consisted of 1 ham or cheese roll and a bottle of water, the free wine served at the hotel was dreadfull and un-drinkable and the free beer was not much better. The hotel did offer other wines and beers but wanted 15 euro for a bottle of rose wine and 11 euro for bottled beer. My suggestion is to pop 50 yards down the road to the pizzeria/ bar who offer a pizza and a beer for 6 euros.
Overall this is a typical 3* hotel set up to cater for mainly coach parties (2 coaches there whilst we were there) but i would quite happily stay here again if i was in the region
