This place isn't the fanciest and the decor is dated to say the least, but I go out of my way to stop here for soup - so good! the chef obviously knows his stock and seasoning, this is proper food.

Stayed here for one night, before catching early flight from Knock. Nice clean room, friendly staff and not too bad a price (40 euro single occupancy, room only). Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on food, but as a stopover place it cannot be faulted. Oh..The Drop Inn just round the corner..really nice place and friendly landlord.

What a lovely place to stay! Phenomenal food, great people (Anthony and his family were so very accomodating), and such a cute B&B! Charlestown is a centrally located darling little town in Mayo and is close to the Our Lady of Knock shrine as well as the Ashford Castle. Would definitely stay here again!

Anthony and his family run such a wonderful B&B. It was so relaxing to stay a bit off the beaten path during our trip through Ireland. The food was fantastic and everyone was very accomodating. We were traveling with a one year old and they had a cot all set up for us upon our arrival. Anthony makes the best scones and brown break in all of Ireland. Definitely worth the stop over.
