“We shall be returning very soon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

On arrival, we were met by a very warm welcome from Lynn, who explained all the facilities very thoroughly and then showed us to our very cosy, comfortable and extremely clean room - with many little touches that makes for a memorable stay. The quality of the food at breakfast was superb. A nice touch was the availability of a daily special in stead of the usual eggs and bacon etc. What made the stay even more memorable is the anticipation of viewing the local inhabitant, that visits at various times of the day (When enticed by the food left on the bird table) - The famous Pine Martins, that were on national TV earlier in the year on "Spring Watch".
With all the beautiful local scenery and the historical monuments and burial grounds to visit in the Glen, Cameron and Lynn's B & B was the icing on the cake and yes we do recommend Lynn's home made 'Muffins'

“Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

This really is a top quality B&B. The whole house was spotlessly clean and had a very friendly atmosphere. Room was comfortable and had everything we could have needed. Hosts go the extra mile with little bags for taking away muffins not eaten with the wonderful breakfasts. Look out for a cupcake treat in the lounge on some days! The standard of cooking is top class. Location is wonderful. Quiet situation for a good night's sleep and a great starting point for exploring the area.

Room Tip: View of the standing stones or the woods is your choice

“Wish we could have stayed for longer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

We have just returned from an overnight in this wonderful Guest House. There is not one thing that Lynn and Cameron could improve on. Lynn welcomed us and took us to our well appointed room overlooking the back garden and wood beyond. A nice touch in the room is a card you can hang on your bedroom door asking Lynn or Cameron to knock if the Pine Marten are about - a note reminding you to remove it if you go to bed and therefore don't want to be disturbed is all part of their attention to detail which is evident in everything from the hospitality tray and toileteries in the bedroom to the cleanliness throughout the house. They have breakfast to a fine art - there is an order form in the room on which you mark your choices for breakfast together with the time you would like to have it. You leave it at reception the night before. There is a note on the form saying that if you have a change of mind in the morning that nobody will mind. It is this attention to detail that makes this such a special place. Breakfast was wonderful (the clootie dumpling is a must !!) and Lynn even gave us a muffin each in a paper bag for our journey. If you are in this part of Scotland this is the place to go. I can't wait to return !!

“definately worth a stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

Dunchraigaig is a wonderful, peaceful guesthouse and Lynn & Cameron are wonderful hosts.
My room which felt more like a private suite with the access via its own set of stairs up the side of the building, very nice to stand and admire the views if the weather good which it was. My room was clean with everything you needed, including a decent shower.Breakfast was great with the best poached eggs I have ever had, they might have been from the resident hens buut I never asked. A nice touch to have a wee bowl of fresh fruit waiting for you on the table.
The only thing I missed was a visit from the family of Pine Martins that are regulars to the garden. Next time.

“The best B&B i have ever stayed in!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

We were in Scotland for a wedding, and due to lack of planning, all the rooms at the venue hotel (Lunga house) were taken.
This led us to discovering Dunchraigaig House. The house was perfect, cosy, warm and friendly made all the more by the lovely little touches such as afternoon mini cupcakes, homemade granola, muffins and a lovely fruit salad in the mornings. The rooms were immaculate and had a great selection of tea.
It is a bit too far to travel from London on a whim but we will be back! Thank you lynn and Cameron.
